Pulled this frame out of the latest Limiting Factor video (Worth a long view).

Jordan was talking about how many fewer parts the Cybertruck would have versus a modern truck. Lars suggested the Cybertruck part count would be 20-30% smaller (on the earnings call), but Jordan suggests Lars was being generous to legacy auto and that the difference would be even bigger. This photo was the example he used.

I like the illustration because it shows how the exoskeleton reduces bracing and also shows how the handle-less door significantly reduce the number of parts used for the latching mechanism.

"I strongly object to hardness of heart, but I object quite as much to the softness of car doors.
I mean seriously somebody should make a steel Cyber door or something, just saying.
I'm sick of these candy ass panels."

No more speakers in doors these days? What about a side pop out sword made from the same SS as the car/spacecraft?

Ok sword might be too much for most, not me:D

But some kind of gimmic to fill the empty air would be cool. Like others have flash lights, umbrellas, etc..

Wow, if the window regulator goes out, look at the potential access.

Rivian has copied a lot off Tesla so just copy one thing from rivian make a bigger, brighter flashlight made of stainless steel with a 4680 battery in it since the door has so much extra room and an option for comp masters Sword.

i really want to see crash test video to see how much damage to the other vehicle the CT does to it. maybe the will only need one CT to test with because it is so tough. Let’s see how tough ford tough is and If Chevy will feel like they hit a rock

Nit pick. Stainless isn’t the best material for a sword blade. You can make a sword out of it, but other materials are strong/ better. Personally, I‘d go a little more utilitarian regardless and have a nice 17” hatchet In the door. It would fit the apocalypse theme on the truck.

I am happy with a cup holder in the door and maybe a place for a pen.

Though it’s possible there could be enough stainless scrap from the truck it would be fairly easy to include a 3mm sword made from the scrap. More like a saber than a broad sword, but could be useful.

It would be harder to make a hatchet out of 3mm scrap, but might be worth it to fight off the zombies.

I really miss my nylon bladed machete, honestly. Some things are better if they're lighter.

-Crissa
fixed it... *almost everything is better lighter

but that sounds pretty cool, did it have a metal edge?

No, it had fiberglass threads in it that created an edge, and the nylon would slowly erode and sharpen it.

Kind of like the weed whacker heads that have since gone out of style.
