So what’s your place in line? I think I placed the next morning and I am 30k in line (if there even is a line)
I'm in the evening of the launch -- while Elon is still yapping but after that dude already broke the glass window.

But the website keeps on crashing and I ended up on the 17,000th thereabouts.

So mine will be done Day 1. :p

But as I promised, I'll post the picture here so you can all drool and turn Martian green in envy.:alien::sick:

So if I’m ~284,000th in line, when can I realistically expect to have Tesla have me sign the purchase contract? Late 2024?
Keep in mind, about 22% of orders are out-of-country. You are likely ahead of them. Also there will be some cancellations.

I’d look somewhere between 18-24 months after shipping starts. Until we know how quickly the ramp up is and what production looks like after ramp up it’s hard to say. With a mid 2023 start of deliveries and a run rate of 250k trucks 12 months after launch you should see yours before the end of 2024. If they start later or ramp up is slower or both ??? Too many variables.

I think this is it in a nutshell. The only real evidence we have of anything is if it’s either giant and obvious like the Gigapress or if there is obvious output from the new equipment.

The weird thing about the exoskeleton is the fact that we know so little about how it will be produced. The machines I’ve seen to date have zero hope of keeping pace with the ~1/ 90 seconds output of the Gigapress (maybe faster) so they would either have to have a lot of machines working in parallel to keep up or some piece of equipment that can fold them much quicker.
Right!

when you see rejected CT casting piling up and stored battery packs in the windows is the time to get excited…..not before.

If it didn’t come from Elon disregard the timeline. I predict Q3 2023.

Barrons is about as reliable as a broken clock when it comes to Tesla.

I wouldn’t say it’s wrong, but I wouldn’t pin my hopes on anything they say. Particularly not a one off comment like this.
A broken clock is right twice a day. So there's hope. If only a fool's hope.
