Pretty sure that's a freaking Bungie cord .. hopefully that won't make it to final production ?

You're kidding right? April fools and all?
That's the rods linking the truck to the sled and rail system that is pulling it down the test track. It's not part of the truck. Also, the bottom covers and skid plates were removed to allow for this hookup, which also allowed us to see the underbody structure clearer.

I'm sure you were just joking!

But, for those who check this out - the bungie cords and the two "rings" on either side that are hooked to the center are likely just for the test. The bungies might be holding a test sensor in place and the other things holding arms to the truck in case they break off (to prevent them careening off into the testing area). I'm sure they are not a normal part of the truck.

Maybe I am not getting this but are we to believe that the truck stops so fast it does not crash into the wall?
Unlike this one that did not stop in time.

Well, there goes that admittedly quite small hope the rear section of roof glass may have been solar…

Elon has said a million times there is no quantifiable gain by adding any solar to vehicles. It would accumulate less than 3 miles range on a fully sunny day and is not adequate for vehicle charging. Let. it. Go.
