I'm standing by my CT size prediction. It's between 220-225 inches.

I'm telling you. . . Hear me now believe me later.

@greggertruck I posted this in an old length thread...

The bumper bar (red) is past the cart block (yellow) but before the wheel (blue) as the CT contacts the wall. The CT is a total bullpup.

Tesla Cybertruck Cybertruck Crash Test Video Released by Tesla! đź’Ą CTSIZE-PROOF

How is someone who is towing going to recharge with the current Tesla charging stations? They need to unhook to back in and charge. I have yet to see a pull thru super charging station. Can you answer me that? The infrastructure has not been set up for trucks. Even if Tesla was going to manufacture them - wouldn’t they build the infrastructure to support them? Would love to hear differently if I am misinformed.

Ooookay. Sure. We'll see. We've been deep diving up in here for two years, at least. Your point is about as strong as diet ice water. Towing accommodations are coming fast. Coupled with the fact that less than 10% of pickup owners tow frequently and less than 30% tow at all, it's only a small portion of owners who are inconvenienced. Not a large enough number to NOT make billions for 2-3 years as charging stations are updated.

Bookmarked to bring this weak argument up when production starts.

Sometimes I'm petty like that.

The BAW must extend a bit, else why make it look like it clearly can.

Lots of things on this truck are set up specific for the test. For example the bottom is exposed so they can photograph in high speed. Components are colored on the bottom, very likely to make it easier to identify them on video. The rear window is more clear than in any other prototype. Also, obviously piles of other wires and monitoring equipment.

I wouldn’t read a whole lot into the wiper, good chance it’s just there to make sure it doesn’t stab an occupant or shatter the window.

Maybe those squares are 10 inches... 12 inched maks it too long... 10 inches maybe.

1 inch variance > <

No… it’s just meant to be a frustrating tease. We know it crashes, we all want to see it crash, but we’re just left wanting.
Right?! I want to see what kind of damage would happen. I want to see the result of such a thing...how safe is it? Model S, when it first came out, sold it as the safest car on the market, and had video to prove it. This just makes me wonder. I want crash dummies...the works!

We have been told again and again that it is…but it hasn’t. I just don’t think the technology is there yet for hauling so Tesla keeps delaying until they can figure it out. Best not to put out a truck that cannot tow efficiently. And the charging stations are not set up to recharge trucks that are towing. That infrastructure still needs to be built. Some things to figure out before mass production happens. Hopefully it will be out by 2025-2027 when the technology catches up. We’ll see. It’s a cool idea ahead of its time.
Oh my god. Never thought to see this FB tier nonsense here on the actual forum.

OK, so then please give us your take on the production line in Austin. What is it actually for? Why are they hiring, and installing new equipment, at such a breakneck pace?

How's the Ford Lightning pullthrough charging station network developing, btw?

I'm sure you were just joking!

But, for those who check this out - the bungie cords and the two "rings" on either side that are hooked to the center are likely just for the test. The bungies might be holding a test sensor in place and the other things holding arms to the truck in case they break off (to prevent them careening off into the testing area). I'm sure they are not a normal part of the truck.
Wait a minute... are you saying the left and right sides of the front end of the Cybertruck are NOT going to be held together by chain-binders and bungie cords??

Whew! I was getting ready to cancel my reservation!

I'd say that qualifies you as misinformed eh @Kirsten ?
I would agree that there aren't enough pull-thru SC stations currently, and for awhile some will need to unhook their trailer to charge. But there's no chance this will impede the CT's production progress.

There's even a term for that: "Elon Time". Tesla slows for nothing and no one. How did Franz put it..."If you're not sure, then you're sure, keep moving" lol
