Nope- just a consumer (owned 1 Dodge Ram, 2 Ford F350s, 2 Ford Rangers in my life) - preordered a CyberTruck and 3 years into a wait and so my reservations number delivery slotted for April 2026- I also saw all the Quad orders move to the front of the line.

There are no "quad orders", it was never a choice for pre-orders. Elon tweeted that quad would be first, but that was the first and last time it was mentioned, and that was over a year ago.

If you're citing the timeline from the public spreadsheet, that's a highly scientific wild-ass guess.

I expect that Tesla will reach out to reservation holders in order, and offer whatever it is that is currently being built. You can choose from the menu, or opt to wait.

Given Quad Motor have taken over first production roll -out; how long are you willing to wait for your CyberTruck - I am at 6 years now given priority has shifted based upon Quad and Tri-Motor priorities. Will you be willing to wait 5 years or more or eventually will you shop elsewhere?
I placed a reservation in November 2019 for a Tri-Motor.

I figure I might be offered delivery November 2025. (2024 will be all about ramping)

In the meantime I am driving a Ford Lightning.

So, I am waiting, but did shop elsewhere in the meantime.

I feel like a lot of threads start like this lately.

Given ***Thing I don’t think is realistic***; how will you respond…
This whole discussion is based on 2 assumptions I don’t agree with.

#1 that the first Cybertruck out the gate will be $10s of thousands more than tri motor at launch.

#2 There won’t be a second model at a price inline with expectations within 3-6 months.

Neither of these ideas is consistent with any prior launch, so I have no idea why people keep popping them into discussions as if they are accepted as “fact”.

What makes you think the quad motor variant will be first produced? I'll wait. Having reserved the night of the unveiling I'm hoping to have my CT by this time next year.

The statement is unambiguous, but things have changed since then. I would be surprised to see a quad go out first, beyond perhaps a few vanity deliveries.

I'm with you. I think Tesla is working on coming out with a BANG on that delivery/announcement party. They will probably set up a 0-100 demo ride for participants. And try to get some free publicity for producing the wildest truck ever in Texas!

The one question is how much demand is out there for THAT truck. I would definitely think the profit margin would be way higher on that variation, And having a High dollar model in production with demand would be good for the stock value. So, it's hard to tell when they would switch gears and start making OUR trucks. I think it depends on demand.

When I placed my reservation in Feb 2020, I guesstimated that I'd get the Cybertruck in 2026 or so. I'm willing to wait. But the truck would be mostly for my wife, and she's backed away from wanting an electric vehicle, citing inadequate charging infrastructure. We'll see; a lot of sand will go through the hourglass before my number comes up.

How do you know priority will be given to tri and quad motor versions? How do you know if they will even be ready by production time? For the model 3 the LR rear wheel drive came out first to simplify production. The dual motor and performance didn't come out till later.

Let me clarify I don’t mean it’s been six years now but I originally ordered in March 2020 and right now according to the rollout list I will not receive my Tesla until April 2026. So my math says six years since my initial order.
You’re funny. You actually believe that spreadsheet :)

No one knows. We also don't know which configuration is first, Elon said last it would be quad, but we don't know for sure. (Even he probably doesn't know.)

All we know is that he thought the Stage 0 would likely survive the fist Starship launch :)
