I would add "adjustable air suspension" to the LIKELY (definitely?) category. Also, rear passenger display = "unknown"?

I think you can add polished stainless exterior to the likely list.
Unlikely in the extreme:
  • Polished stainless exterior

Check out this admittedly-poor photo out my window:

Tesla Cybertruck Summary of new Cybertruck info / details / features from past week (June 2023) A7308896 copy

Poor quality, but there are identifiable features. Now pull back, adjusting the focal length and depth-of-field, and you get:

Tesla Cybertruck Summary of new Cybertruck info / details / features from past week (June 2023) A7308897 copy

That's right, the 1st photo was taken from the reflection of an old, dirty, scratched CDR. None of which was directly visible in the 1st photo, although it made it less sharp.

If the CT was polished, then the reflections would look completely undistorted, like on this polished DeLorean:

The Cybertruck will have some kind of "finish" on the stainless of course, but only something that can be accomplished quickly, cheaply, and without human intervention.

I think you can add polished stainless exterior to the likely list. I also think the frunk will be very small. Like 1/3 of the F150 or Rivian.
What makes you feel the Frunk will be 1/3 of the Lightning? Based on the pics I have seen recently I don't get that feeling. Much will have to do with how far back it goes under the dash. The width looks impressive though but not sure how much the castings will narrow that down.

The CT frunk will be plenty big, but the F-150L frunk is yuge

not to suggest or take a position on the “1/3” comment, but, this Frunk appears to yet have trim installed and assuming this back wall is of installed equipment like AC etc, the back wall (red arrow) would be (after trim) about 1/3 back from the front of wall of the casting wheel well (green arrow)

If instead the stuff at red arrow is, like, gear for the testing or tester’s, then who knows

so while I wouldn’t take a position (or agree) that it’s 1/3 the lightning, I *would* feel comfortable saying it’s *not* 2X the lightning as some were asserting for a long time around here

It will be interesting. I agree my lightning frunk has great volume and i can pack much into it but the Cybertruck could surprise if the depth is good.

Look at the grill width and height comparison vs Lightning. Also the Frunk on the lightning doesn't go all the way back to the windshield so the Cybertruck could equal depth if it goes beyond windshield. It will be interesting to see.

what’s strange about the F-150 L Frunk is that behind the back wall trim is a good 15”x30” of largely unused space. True the 12v and a few giblets are in there, but that’s like …. all.

Unclear if it’s a safety engineering decision, or instead Ford being like “that’d be just too much frunk” :ROFLMAO:

I think they did a great job. It feels right sized to me. Don't know I would want or need bigger.

Looks like they were just trying to clear the steering column before they issued frunk space.

yeah, for sure

I’m just left wondering why they didn’t like push the 12v to the other side, then add like a cubby compartment behind a door for even more storage of bits and bobs. Make it accessible from up top so that it’s still accessible if the Frunk is full

just strange unutilized space

EDIT TO ADD: here’s a thought - it was a model differentiation decision

Lightning Frunk/storage limited to [X] cubic feet because the T3 platform will come out offering eg 2X

I can't believe nobody's addressed this one listed in the Unknowns:

The "W/L/H in units of chickens " are critical specifications that we must find out! :ROFLMAO:

In units of chickens, this is already well settled - the CT is indisputably within a chicken unit of an F150 in each of W / L / H

It’s going past the resolution of a chicken, say nuggets or even feathers, that are the only W / L / H unknowns

but it does remind me:
W/L/H in units of chickens
Arguably the largest and most market-critical unknown are the interior dimensions, both front and rear, for each of shoulder, hip, leg, and head room.

For the US market at least, the answers to these interior dimensions will move the CTs market position more than bed length, and as much as range offerings.

If the CT ends up Rivian-sized inside, have a nice specialty vehicle.

If the CT ends up matching or beating the F150 et al, there’s a new kid on the TAM block.

Somewhere between? Will have to play out.
