i NEED more details. CT seems like a missile: i bet they are building a temp crash test facility in Texas, casue they keep breaking other people's stuff with their cyber truck. I picture it sticking out the concrete wall like Excalibur!

I guess it is a good thing these tests measure the safety of the occupants, not everyone else. Oh, this is new.. https://www.nhtsa.gov/press-release...thiness-pedestrian-protection-testing-program

Tesla has it's own crash test facility, in Fremont - called The Crash Lab

PS, nice model 3/s/y parking job

The SS is really reflective on these shots! My first time watching that video I thought there was a large hole in the rear of the vehicle, but it was just the intact quarter panel reflecting the sky. ??‍♂

Maybe this is the Rubicon version... maximizing approach angle.

cant tell if we're talking past or if you've moved to a new topic

i was referencing the sedan (without wheels) that they've parked on the hood of the CT
OOPS. I was talking about the "shorter front end" on the covered CT there.

Wow, they didn't waste any time crash testing these. Sad to see a damaged Cybertruck, but happy to see quick progress.

The link you provided talks about pedestrian safety in general terms. I was hoping to see specific requirements. It is highly likely that Tesla is focusing pedestrian safety in its ADAS software, so avoiding an accident with a pedestrian in the first place, as opposed to a hardware implementation. Is that allowed? Has anyone seen the specifics of this NPRM?

Sheet, I thought it was a hole too, until I read your comment. Nice :)

No burning sign, so it is good. Big aluminum casting/bars work as they should.
