All surfaces are "wavy", depending on the scale. Even glass will show defects under the correct conditions.

I think Cybertruck will show more of this effect due to the shininess of the bare metal.

It bothers me not.
Glass is a fluid, stainless is not.

I wonder if the hood situation is because it won't clear the BAW if it's sits flush...
A very valid point, and while I wouldn't say that's impossible, I'm doubting it's the case, because that would imply Tesla designers/engineers failed to allow for enough clearance and room for adjustments. I think that sort of oversight by Tesla designers is highly unlikely.

In the event that were an issue though, a replacement hinge with (or with more) compound movements could be used, such that the frunk lid moved both Up and Out (away from the BAW), when opened, and then the exact reverse of course when closed. This way clearance could be assured. These type compound movement hinges have been quite common in use for decades on many cars and trucks, depending on the model.

But I'd be very surprised if clearance past the BAW had not been already compensated for in the design.

Yes but I think they did rush the overall design phase to get this released or there is some tolerance issue with some components under the hood. I have not really seen a release candidate with a hood that's flush. I'm sure when they design everything and go through tooling, sometimes the puzzle of 10,000 pieces do not always fit correctly.

Everything look great to me except the hood...those ambient light bars are dope. ?

I agree the interior of the release candidate has exceeded the original prototype. Ambient lighting was a great add with the straight lines.
Nah OG interior was goated, this one is a bit bland but I'm liking it a lot more with gray trim as opposed to the white we initially saw it with.

My biggest takeaway? The side glass (Armor Glass?) appears to be about 3/8” thick. This does not appear to be normal thickness automotive side glass.

Smash and grab thieves in San FransIsco might think twice before breaking into a Cybertruck?

In addition to it possibly being Armour Glass, there's also the benefit of road noise dampening and a quieter ride!

does any of that change if it’s only the front passenger windows?

‘cause again, the rollover unit clearly had normal tempered glass everywhere else (rear windows, corner windows, etc.)

I’ll be interested to hear the stated rationale for that choice
