Few things are very clear from the video -
1. It’s definitely fireworks or some explosion triggered with fireworks. You can clearly see fire crackers burning at the end.
2. The fire was not because of the battery explosion. In a different video, you can see the Battery underneath the truck intact. Only the upper part is burning.
3. None of the doors or glass exploded. Imagine the exact same thing happening on an ICE engine. This could have been fatal to someone standing nearby. This is a full-blown fire explosion. CT took the blast well.

Anyways, such a sad way to start the year. Hope authorities get to the bottom of this.
That truck absolutely did eat that blast; what a tough machine!!

I’m going with intentional. Considering the location and also the new orleans attack was an EV. Perhaps they are related or a copycat. Maybe they thought it would explode since there’s so much negative news about them catching fire.

10000% “Terrorism”

Make an example of the individual.
Not funny - people could have been badly hurt.

I’m sure they have video of whoever exited that truck as well.

This also further confirms that the entire Tesla fleet has near real-time telemetry. Tesla always has the receipts. thankfully!

Fine, whatever. I'm not making any claims, and I'm definitely not a fan of FUD. I don't follow other EV news, so I rely on the community here. Productive comments appreciated
I’m never going to accept the thought/speech police bullshit that goes on here.

You have no obligation to censor your thoughts or expression of them in order to help Tesla fend off FUD. Ignore anybody who’s trying to suggest otherwise. ?

I’m guessing this is intentional. Will know soon enough. I have absolutely no concerns about my truck spontaneously combusting and killing me.

That said, this will do nothing for the perception of this vehicle. Comes on the heels throttle house awarding it basically the worst vehicle of the year and foolishly referencing whistling diesel as if that was some sort of authoritative evaluation.

The thing that they got right about that though is he did a real number on the perception of the vehicle and this is not going to help one bit.

That’s not your problem or my problem. That’s an Elon problem and he can deal with it however he wants to, or not deal with it - which seems to be his preference.

I just don’t care. Like I said before, and I absolutely mean it, they don’t need to make, or sell, a single other Cybertruck as far as I’m concerned! I’ve got mine and I’m thrilled with it.

If it becomes any more toxic, though, they’re not going to be able to give them away. I think that’s what’s motivating people who want you to shut up and not question anything.

Ignore them!

This post by musk is very weird.

"telemetry was positive" what does that even mean?

Two, posting this info at large is uh weird instead of just handing it over to leo.

three, "confirming" it was either a, b, or c. Isn't a confirmation.

e: to add I clearly know he's trying to clean his hands of "it was the ct's fault" but just stfu for once.
