I’m with you on trying my hand at it… I did PPF for the first time this year on my wife’s MY and apart from a few little learning curve push bubble scars, it turned out pretty good.I'm just thinking ahead to when the PPF inevitably gets damaged doing what I do with vehicles on my land, out in BLM forests, etc. I have no illusions of skill in the applying PPF department, yet. But I've taught myself (with help from YouTube U) plenty of other things. Good news is if I screw up the first few panels I can redo them for just the cost of materials and my time. I know the film isn't cheap but I might start with some cheaper variant first.
I also agree with CV that Tesla most likely will not offer a DIY kit as it will take money away from their new department.
