Well the truck is covered in dry mud. Every Tesla Visitor has been touching it, and the inside (while wrapped) has dirt and mud inside too. Apparently for delivery presentation, it’s a big job.

I don't understand why cleaning the truck would be such a challenge. What am I missing?

I have an idea for tesla: put a screen protector sheet on the inside of the windshield during assembly.. That huge expanse of glass isn't going to be easy to clean. And mine was not clean now that I see it in a different light.

Tesla not paying their transport fees or something? The delivery center isn't sure what's going on either but they were able to ping the gps to get that location.

That’s cool you were able to at least get a location. I’ve been told there’s no way to track it once it starts the process to your service center. I’m in the same boat. I got my VIN on 2/15 and as of this past Tuesday was told it was still in Texas with no further explanation. Just “We’ll notify you”.

After getting my Vin on the 27th, I got a call today saying that my truck is in Houston. Picking it up tomorrow (3/2) at 5pm.

Luckily my back connected to plaid and let me pay. First 5-6 times it didn't work, but tried it a few hours later and it's done now.

Delivered today at Sunnyvale CA then immediate undelivered and into service. Critical steering issue. Truck was also covered in mud. Great experience. Wasted over 5 hours ?

Yea eventually got it into drive. Drove like a mile then swapped with my friend to let him try. Then we got stuck again but eventually made it back to Tesla. The 5 min drive was awesome though.

Hope to see the map fill up some more and have a good # reported by Tesla for CT deliveries this quarter and some hope for a significant ramp.
