It is definitely a mystery. I will say this that I noticed - when I placed my order, I selected Tesla Financing. I checked for VIN 1 or 2 times a day for about 3 weeks, nothing, but after seeing how long people are waiting, I was not surprised. I decided to check on other financing and found a better loan which enabled me to pay the balance in full to Tesla. I went into my order app and changed my payment from Finance to Pay in Full. Lo and behold, the very next day, my VIN appeared! It may have been coincidence, but who knows? Plus, I'm in CA, so it might be slightly easier to get a VIN here...but you're in CA, too, so maybe not. Did you order a Cyberbeast? Those are harder to get now.

Finally I drove it all day today. Holy crap this vehicle gets attention. I talked to more strangers today then the last 5 years lol. Tesla made a really good decision with this design. I do find it strange that online there is so much hate but in person people go out of their way to look at it.

I've heard someone else make the same observation - when they got their truck they were steeling themselves for the negative comments but were so pleasantly surprised when none of that happened. They figured the haters were still at home in front of their computers and didn't get out much.

I’m picking up my beast at Colma on Sunday. I was thinking about the wrap from OCD but is that really the price?? So expensive. I’m assuming that’s PPF and ceramic coating? Does that include tint as well?

Yeah I was kind of nervous the first day. I was thinking people were going to start throwing things at it or try and run me off the road haha

Haha - nothing special about me at all. No stock, non-employee, no credits used, not an influencer, and not famous. I am picking up in MO, but only because there’s no SC’s in AR, and I cannot pick up in Tulsa, OK (closest SC to me) because no AR residents can pick up in OK.
