My concern is that the massive windshield will tend to substantially heat the cabin requiring a higher blower setting thereby increasing the cabin noise. (difficulty hearing wife) Has anyone experienced that yet?

Yeah I'm doing full tint. Even in my model Y the heat through the glass was too much. This will probably be slightly worse.

Tesla has an automatic temperature control to prevent overheating of the interior. The air conditioning will go on depending on how you set it to keep the interior cool.

All that glass, and so many ways to crack... How much is a decent tint job? And what material?

I put my fan on 9 pretty much every time I get in the truck during the day. This is another point where I’m totally surprised at how unsophisticated Tesa design is. All my other cars have an auto setting for the fan. The car senses it’s hot when I first get in and the fan goes on high, as the air conditioner cools the car the fan automatically slows down. It’s what I expect. In the Cybertruck, you manual select the fan settings, by first tapping on the temperature, that brings up another place you can tap, then you tap on the fan level you want. Then tap somewhere else to make it go away. After the cabin temperature drops, you have to go through the whole process to slow the fan to a less annoying level. That coupled with the fact that even a simple sunshade for the windshield will cost you $175, and has unparalleled difficulty in deploying and storage when not in use, I’ve only got to say sheese! I thought Tesla design was form follows function. So much of the Cybertruck seems the other way around.

This is incorrect. I just put the climate control in my Cybertruck on "Auto" and it adjusts the fan speed up or down as needed to maintain the set temperature. Works great, just like in our three other Tesla.

I'm curious what makes you tick. You have started 4 threads here, all of them presenting the Cybertruck in a bad light.

You have made 21 posts here, all of them presenting the Cybertruck in a bad light.

Do you actually even own a Tesla?
Did you actually take delivery of a Cybertruck?

You are not on the Cybertruck owner's list.
You are not on the Cybertruck ordered list

You have serious misunderstandings about how the most basic climate controls operate (like the "Auto" setting).

It makes me wonder what motivates you to post here.

I would be happy not to manually change fan speed settings. I would have expected to see fan settings 1-9 & auto. But that’s not how it’s done is it? What you see here is how I operate the truck, and my honest opinion of my ownership experience. I have no hidden agenda or grudge to satisfy. I have benefited from the candid opinions of users of many products. What I intend in sharing my opinion here is to pay that forward. If someone knows a better way to operate the vehicle I would welcome their sharing it with me. The manual doesn’t have pictures to show location of the controls. I don’t want climate control to ever automatically switch to a heating mode, but I do want full blast cooling when I enter a 120 degree car.

P.S., I’ve been to Washington State. The climate control necessary in that region are vastly different from where I drive.

I have already explained if you put the climate control in "Auto" mode, the fan will adjust to an appropriate speed. It adjusts the fan speed based upon the differential between the actual cabin temperature and your set temperature, something you claimed it couldn't do. So, as the cabin cools down and approaches your set temperature, the fan speed decreases.

Yes, and I appreciated it. I did search the internet and now found the Tesla manual is available on line. It’s a big improvement from when I tried to learn how to operate the truck from the video of the manual available earlier.

That said, I’m probably not as fast learner now as I once was. Even after a fresh reading of the section on climate controls, I don’t know how to turn on auto. I guess when I manually changed the fan speed, I exited auto. The manual says I can return to auto, by touching “auto”, but no picture or further instruction tells me where to find the “auto” to tap. The climate control I see on the bottom left, are as I previously described. I see the temperature previously set, that’s about it.

Tap the set temperature at the bottom of the screen, all the climate controls come up. Tap the one that says "Auto". When it's on, it's blue, when it's on manual, it's faded.
