So went to the showroom in Princeton NJ. Got zero information from anyone there. Got vin paid and was told to get insurance. , Meanwhile my insurance company is driving me nuts since i paid and insured the truck they want paperwork. this was b4 the recall. So I looked in the back parking lot and ask someone if they saw the vin and he told me the last 4 numbers. Taking his word for it I wasnot mine. He goes there about 200 Tesla’s across the street. I said any cybertruck? He was like you will be as shocked as I was, sure enough thee are over 12 of them Sitting right there. Walked around and gaucked at them and sure than ship I saw my vin. So I guess you can drive by and wave to the truck you dropped 100k on like I did. Hopefully I can get a date of when to expect it. Just wish Tesla had a little better costumer service than they do.

The Cherry Hill service center has very limited space. The CT’s that were delivered to the sc to be prepped for customer delivery are actually parked/stored in some off-lot somewhere. I stopped by to visit my CT (have VIN but no DD), but it wasn’t there. ?. Same here, paying insurance on a vehicle that I don’t have or own yet. I’m hoping to get the call or text on delivery this week. But who knows.
Hope you have a great delivery when it does happen for you.

That's the way that many Delivery Centers handle it. They have an off-site lot that they park vehicles off of the transporter. Then as they can, they move to the Delivery Center.
Mine has been sitting there for over a week, waiting for the update.

My Model 3 was sitting in the lot, as well, 6 years ago before I got my delivery date. A friend happened to be in the lot and found my VIN.

Mine is literally parked in the upside-down world of Stranger Things.

Sure, you're buying a $100k+ truck and $50 is going to break your bank?

And you do realize that the current delay isn't normal don't you?

If I thought like you maybe I wouldn't have $100k to buy a depreciating asset.. money to me is always scarce and I don't wan't to waste it if I don't have to..

Maybe it's different in NJ but here you have a month to add a new vehicle to your policy. I'm assuming of course that you have another vehicle on an existing policy.

Tesla requires proof of insurance before you roll it off the lot.

Yes you have to provide them with your current policy, you can add the vehicle to the policy later. At least that how it works here. I just did a model Y that way.

It’s that way in Texas but Tesla told me on all three I’ve picked up their procedure doesn’t allow them to deliver without the vehicle on the policy. Annoying, but not difficult to do.
