Hello, Yesterday we got our light bar installed. Beyond stoked. Quick question, we have a 3.56mm gap between the windshield and the light bar, according to Tesla specs, it shouldn't be more than 1 mm. For those that have the lightbar, did you measure it?? See pictures below.

Does it appear that the adhesive under the light bar is not holding?

It looks like, but it is just the glue, it has a thick layer. My concern is the gap and I'm surprised they didn't cover the gap like you would do to a window, sink or bathtub.

Personally, I would prefer to have a simple accent light bar under the windshield like the prototype. It's impossible to use it even at 1%, it blinds the heck out of you.

Mine looks the same, been well over 100mph without an issue. I think the bottom of the light bar curves up there, and is t a good place to measure. I’d measure the back. Mine has a lot of adhesive filling that gap if you look with a flashlight.

I know the feeling. My advice will be to create a good relationship with your Tesla advisor and then ask him if he can help you get one.
Yes, “create a good relationship “ praise him and encourage him to do his job. That is really good advice. May be bake him a cake, baby sit his kids, paying 129 K for your truck just does not cut it to deserve a light bar which you already paid for.

I felt the same frustration since 05/2024 when we got the truck and didn't get the wheel covers, or the lightbar. However, I wanted to get it as soon as possible. I knew I was not going to get anything rubbing my rights and "deep pocket" to the Tesla advisors' noses. But kindness and humbleness move mountains, and I only had to wait 10 months. However, I made a promise to never again support Tesla with any launch product. By nature I am not an early adopter, lesson confirmed. I thought I was going to be one of the few that will have the prestige of having a Foundation truck. Now I see that it means nothing, anyone can have it. They definately botched the effort and trust of those that invested a fortune.

Looks like a big gap. Any chance the light bar was accidentally installed upside down? That gap is going to catch air, bugs and dirt.
