{Looks around, yawns, goes back to sleep}

Picked up 08/24... Not in a hurry for the lightbar but want it all the same. Don't mind waiting for Tesla's "New version is right around the corner" version.

Light bar installed yesterday. They didn’t connect the pieces behind the B pillar but that was a quick process with the help of a short YouTube video I found. Only thing that took longer than it should was putting back the door weatherstripping. Front passenger piece just didn’t want to go back in flush but finally got there.

I’ve read there is a nation wide protest on the 19th, the same day I’m getting my light bar installed. Should be a interesting day.

Despite rumors of a version 2, everybody is still getting version 1, correct?
Correct. There’s no new version and I wouldn’t expect one. This is what it is it’s gonna be … glued to your windshield and we’re all just gonna hope that they stay there. ?

Just had my lightbar installed today (CB purchased 5/31/24). The service center didn't provide instructions to finish the job, but I was able to find some things online. One question, though.

I watched Redfire's YouTube video that talks about taking the passenger B Pillar apart so I can plug in the new light bar wire/connector to the existing harness in the B Pillar, but when I pivot the cover on the roof to see what's under there, I see an unconnected wire as shown in the attached photo. Am I missing the wire with the connector on one end for the B Pillar connection and bare wires on the opposite end that might solder to these wires and go down to the B Pillar or is this wire for something else? I'm reluctant to start taking things apart until I can figure out if this loose wire is for the light bar and I need more parts to solder/connect it up or whether it is for something else.....

Thanks...

From the installation $0 invoice:

Repair Notes: The off-road light bar was successfully mounted on the windshield of your Cybertruck as per the outstanding work order. The installation was completed using the provided off-road light bar and Betaprime adhesive.

That looks like the vehicle side harness. If so, you'll need to solder it to the light bar harness.
Might also be the lightbar with connector, unwrap to find out.
Installation process for both versions:

FYI - there is a new glass primer they use during the installation. I had my appointment today and the service center didn't have the new stuff so I'm going to reschedule. They said this is specifically to address the reports of lightbars coming off. Also, install is now just a 2 hour process with no cure time or anything like that so they'll squeeze me in later this week.

No *additional* cure time, the process includes an hour of cure. Working time is only 8-10 minutes!

I just think it’s mission critical for them to understand that it’s not separating from the glass it’s separating from the plastic underneath the lightbar.

I hope they understand where the failure is happening so they’re not fixing a problem that doesn’t exist.

I purposely scheduled my install for the end of the month; hopefully they will have the new adhesive by then.

Wait.. let me get this right. When you get the light bar… you have to do part of the installation yourself? Including soldering? I mean- I am an old Ham and know how to do some soldering but really don’t think I should be F’in around with my Cybertruck like that. Why don’t they do the whole job?

By the way- drove for an hour in rural middle Tennessee late last night. The brights on the Cybertruck are amazing. Can’t imagine what the lightbar at adds!
