If one wanted to to this to the all terrain wheels, what’s the best approach? Have a wheel repair company spray it in gloss? DIY a clear coat? Wet sand and polish? Re-powder coat or what? Google has a plethora of answers.
have any of you done this? Do you have pics you could share?

Ceramic coating. Find a local shop that does it for mine I’ve done almost all of my Teslas (except for the cyber truck) and you’re looking at four to $600 for all four at least in my area.

Those look nice. I’m learning all sorts of stuff from you tonight man.
So it’s basically the same stuff they put on my ppf and that makes them glossy?
You’re in Vegas right? I imagine Phoenix prices are comparable.

Yes, as to location.

No, as to methodology. This process involves using ionized ceramic powder which is electrostatically applied to the metal and then baked on.

So there appears to be a lot of misinformation when you search for ceramic coating wheels.
They all seem to want to smear ceramic juice on with an applicator and wipe it off for multiple hundreds of dollars. Big surprise.
Can you please help me identify the right lingo to find the process you used or maybe send a link to where you did yours so I can figure out what exactly to ask for?

Yeah, that’s my bad. This is generally called “powder coating.” Here’s the company that I trust with all of my wheels locally:

Powder coating is the best way. Definitely shop around because prices can vary greatly from shop to shop

So…talk me out of this. I’m thinking I take the wheels off one at a time, clean them really well with isopropyl or acetone, mask off the tire, hit them with bulldog adhesion promoter or a similar product, then do a few coats of glossy clear, then put them back on.
if they look gross I take them in for gloss black powder coat anyway. Tires don’t have to come off or anything. Maybe I save several hundred dollars?
Am I just cheap? Rhetorical question btw. I’m totally cheap. Is this foolish?

Dalton beat me to it. I had my M3P wheels ceramic coated and they came out glossy.

I used Alset (Tesla spelled backwards, lol). They have a location in Phoenix if you’re anywhere near there.

Awesome. I’m actually in Phoenix myself.
We should go tooling around off road some time.

Oh. I see you are in Texas. Thought you meant you were local. Thanks for the tip.
