A full windshield sunshade is unwieldy. Which means it doesn't get used.

I purchased 18"x26" sunshades. Easy to use every time. Big enough to protect the screen and squircle from direct sun. Small enough to store between the driver's seat and middle console.

Good idea. I like it.
I badly want someone to do a power sunshade like they do for the glass roof but that works for the windshield.

You could just shut it while supercharging or when you leave the car to keep the gawkers eyes out etc
Many people put “visor extenders” up top and willfully block out that area so it wouldn’t be terrible to put the mechanism up there. You could also put it right where the windshield meets the dash.

I’ve been wanting to try one of those. Was deterred by a few posts that described the spokes in them trashing the dash grill cloth.
is that just hyperbole?

I tried one and didn’t like it at all. Very unwieldy and difficult to use. Currently rocking the 4 panel sunshade in 2 sets. First set up top, suction cups, then bottom set and push against top. Takes 5 minutes or so though.

Has anyone tried to put one to these things on the outside of the giant ass window?
Seems like getting out and throwing one on like a blanket with 4 suction cups or magnets or something like that would be way easier than jamming and lifting it into a geometry teachers nightmare with a mirror and visors and screen in the way. The giant wiper could be used to hold it down on one side also.
I guess there are weather and theft concerns, but a piece of foil like that can’t be that expensive or useful to a non-CT-owner that I can imagine anyone wanting to steal it.

As an early FS owner, at the time there weren’t many options for CT. So I got one of those generic ones for sedans which worked out perfect. It covers enough to block most of the sun and doesn’t interfere with the dash. I can upload the actual pics later

Btw I hate to even touch front windshield for any reason. It’s stupidly hard to clean. So suction cups uh uh no for me

Exactly. Chucked mine. Spokes were too risky. Nearly scratched mine.

I do that using 4 individual shades. I lay 2 shades down across the fwd dash and then place 2 shades from the visors down to the bottom 2 shades. Works really well and easy to deploy/store.

How does that hold together? Got a pic perhaps?

Well in small print on the Amazon website it reads, "

So if you purchased and use this please enlighten us.

I'm thinking of getting the retractable roof shade (my BEAST came with the Tesla shade), and would be interested in a similar one for the windshield.

Umbrella shade will damage dashboard. I put a dash cover on mine.
