I’m having trouble getting the bottom trim piece to snap in place. How are others getting it to fit?

It kinda snaps in a little loosely? And the top section does not have any clips.

I might try to re-install the OEM hockey piece trim because it has clips all the way up.

I got it to snap down had to use a rubber mallet, it fits nice and secure. Plus I put about 2” of Velcro on the top of the lid and dash, now the lid stays up.

Awesome idea. Was going to tinker with putting some magnets under my “under screen storage tray” for the same reasons

By “it” are you referring to the OEM piece or the 3rd party replacement?

I’m referring to the 3rd party’s 2 piece that comes with the fridge, I used a piece of wood against the lower trim gave it a good hit and snapped in solid. It’s firm in place + I can remove it easily.

It’s one of these.

Gives you 4 full powered usb-c ports and two usb-a ports.
I have several interior gadgets that require power some of which work better with full unoccupied high power usb-c ports and that do not need to be on when the car is off.
My two Magbak phone chargers on either side of the screen for example, my little usb hub that sits behind the screen to power gadgets up there, my two baby cameras and the monitor screen they transmit to etc.
I have that little hub plugged into the rear AC plug and that’s what powers everything when the car is on.
This leaves the actual Tesla usbC -ports free for stuff I want to keep ON while the car is off like the Starlink mini and the backup charging feed to my power station which powers the fridge.

Thanks for that. Perhaps you could make a thread about your charging station set up. That would be interesting I think.
