Yup, it's now July 1, and Tesla is still advertising 0% APR on Cybertrucks with purchase of FSD (Supervised).Looks like they continued the 0% with FSD, I don’t see it getting any better this quarter with the tax credit likely to expire Sept 30. Q4 maybe…
Another factor that will likely affect 3Q 2025 sales is the introduction of new lower-cost Teslas. This was emphasized in the 1Q 2025 earnings call on April 22:Elon Musk is now in charge of Tesla sales in NA and Europe.
I predict MSRP’s and incentives are in for a shakeup this year to help with sagging sales, especially if the $7500 tax credit expires on September 30th.
Vaibhav Taneja: We think our strategy of providing the best product at a competitive price is going to be a winner, and this is the reason we're still focused on bringing cheaper models to market soon. The start of production is still planned for June.
So Tesla has apparently already started pilot production of these new models. We know that Tesla has announced a new lower-cost RWD Cybertruck; according to the CT order page, delivery is currently scheduled in "6-8 weeks", so late August-September. It seems likely that Tesla will introduce lower-cost versions of the Model Y and/or Model 3 as well.Lars Moravy: Yeah, we're still planning to release models this year. As with all launches, we're working through like the last-minute issues that pop up. We're not getting down one by one. At this point, I would say that ramp maybe -- might be a little slower than we had hoped initially, but there's nothing, just kind of given the turmoil that exists in the industry right now. But there's nothing blocking us from starting production within the next -- within the timeline laid out in the opening remarks.
You don't like pure metal?I do have one question how long should I wait to wrap the truck.
I can see that being included with a bump in the price of FSD to $10-$12K.I predict will see .99% for 60 months on 2025 Cybertruck’s WITHOUT mandatory FSD in the next 6 months.
How often do you wash your truck. Just bought a 600psi pressure washer was going to give that a try on Friday. Do you recommend any cleaner for between washes. Was also going to hold off on the wrap until I was sure. You don't like pure metal?
There is no real reason to wrap a Cybertruck in expensive plastic unless you just want a different color. Kind of a waste of time and money. It's temporary. The metal is forever.
The wash schedule depends upon my off-road schedule. I probably average once every two weeks at most, and once a month at the outside range, except in the middle of winter when I might go two months due to freezing weather. If it warms up after a cold spell, I try to give it a good cleaning with a truck brush and a bucket of soapy water. I wash the glass probably three times as often as the steel. How often do you wash your truck. Just bought a 600psi pressure washer was going to give that a try on Friday. The issue (and area of improvement for Tesla) I see when Tesla offers incentives (like this 0% APR for Cybertruck) is: Tesla does not offer any method for potential buyers to opt-in for marketing communications. The average potential buyer does NOT nerd-out like us by visiting Cybertruck forums, repeatedly checking the Tesla.com site, or go on X and follow the Tesla community. So, they have ZERO idea about this 0% offer.Yup, it's now July 1, and Tesla is still advertising 0% APR on Cybertrucks with purchase of FSD (Supervised).
It looks like Tesla sold out the remaining Foundation Series AWDs in 2Q 2025. However, there still appear to be a handful of FS Cyberbeasts (which include FSD) available in certain states. The few remaining FS CBs will probably sell out in 3Q 2025 without the need for any additional incentives. The likely disappearance of the federal tax credit shouldn't affect them, because they were too expensive (>$80,000) to qualify for it anyway.
The $7,500 tax credit will probably evaporate either on September 30 or December 31. This will likely trigger a rush to buy less expensive (<$80,000) Cybertrucks before it expires, so Tesla may not need to offer any additional incentives on those either.
Not having and not wanting any kind of external comms function/PR at Tesla has hurt them in so many ways. The issue (and area of improvement for Tesla) I see when Tesla offers incentives (like this 0% APR for Cybertruck) is: Tesla does not offer any method for potential buyers to opt-in for marketing communications. Honestly, I'm shocked they haven't done anything like this. The stores are perfect ways for Tesla to get a list of ppl who have come into the store looking at specific models, demo driving them, etc. and send them emails with these offers.
Example: I know somone who's intersted in the new Model Y...I had to tell him they were offering 1.99% APR bc he had no idea.
I agree, they need more PR and better marketing. I test drove a Rivian over 2 years ago and was getting emails every 2 weeks asking if I am ready to order and their incentives etc., I had a reservation for a CT, and test drove twice and never heard from them in over a year! I needed to check the forum for incentives, FSD transfer and finally 0% APR.The issue (and area of improvement for Tesla) I see when Tesla offers incentives (like this 0% APR for Cybertruck) is: Tesla does not offer any method for potential buyers to opt-in for marketing communications. Your experience between Rivian and Tesla is very telling. Tesla just has to do the minimal effort to do what Rivian is doing by keeping comms open with potentil buyers.I agree, they need more PR and better marketing. It's not a waste of time and money if it makes you happy. I love my wrap and it makes it so much easier to keep the Beast clean. You don't like pure metal?
