Wow, can you still remove you applique or is it siliconed down? I need to be able to take mine on and off as intended. Pics would be nice.
I’ll try and get some pics later today. I don’t think it will come off easy, I had to take it off once to run wires for my camera. I’m pretty sure I’m responsible for the leak around that area. But it was leaking in many spots. You could probably stop most leaks by loosening the appliqué pushing it in real hard and righting it back down. Then use just a bit of silicone where it’s leaking.

Old, old topic. It's a truck. It is not totally water-proof in the bed. If this is our worst issue with the CT, we are doing great.
I think you need to try harder if it is leaking much at all. Tesla did not design this to be a water collector, it just needs some appropriate updates. I am convinced if so many people say they have made it dry except the tailgate, that it for sure can be done with little effort. I will keep this post going until I solve it. Yes, I have had many trucks and I have solved water problems in all of them.

I think I need a solution that does not involve reapplying caulk each time you take it off as I am taking the applique off regularly.

Have to ask why you are removing it so much, out of curiosity?

To fit my ATV in the back.
Ah. So I think you could add a window seal to the appliqué, above the seal. This is what I was going to do, but needed to leave the next day on a road trip.

This foam is typically very squishy.

I will probably do this method.

BTW, this was my suspension issues.

Verified customers concern, reviewed the alert data and found there was a stuck exhaust valve on the air compressor, causing the air suspension to enter a limp mode and won't allow the vehicle to raise. Removed and replaced the air compressor, tested and found there was a second issue present in the air suspension system.

Inspected and found there was a leak present causing the vehicles air reservoir tank to not build up pressure to assist the suspension when raising. spray tested all four air springs as well as the valve block and air lines. After all air suspension components were tested, found a leak in the reservoir fill port. proceeded to remove and replace the air reservoir fill port. Pressurized the system and tested for air leaks again, verified the leak is no longer present. Tested the air suspension by cycling between different heights and verified the air suspension now is operating as intended at this time.

When the air suspension is cycled multiple times without the vehicle driving, this can reduce the pressure in the reservoir tank and cause additional time needed when selecting a higher ride height (the system will normally work itself from the back suspension to the front in this situation). When driving, the air compressor will fill the reservoir tank to assist with rapid ride height changes when needed. However with the air leak fixed, even if the reservoir does not have adequate pressure for a rapid ride height change, the speed is greatly improved and operating the same as another Cybertruck in similar vin range.

That just did that for me. Went on a road trip, our luggage was soaked and the truck bed liner is full of pooled water. :( Bought this thing so I could store lots of luggage in a secure space that seemed at least water resistant.
FYI, the 'missing' slat is not the root cause of the water leak. It's the seal on the applique. It comes with a foam "seal" that doesn't work well. The fix is to replace it with a weather strip / rubber seal. There's a video on YouTube showing how to do this (and linked to in these forums).

Two fixes ago my luggage hard soft case, pretty difficult to get wet had 3/4 of the clothes soaked inside. That is not acceptable. I know they can fix this and I am not sure why they won't do the right thing the first time.
Yup picked up some people from the airport and they had bags for an extended vacation, rained hard and the stuff in the back was soaked.

100% the issue is the rubbler seal, the problem is the youtube video seal etc is a pain to do and nuts that it has to be done on a 100k truck to keep the vault dry.
At some point Tesla will fix this, like the wiper motor, the cantrails, the pedal, etc etc

What was the fix for the wiper motor?

They replace the wiper motor. I had it done…but if you have it done, make sure they do it correctly and set the wiper ’home’position correctly. They didn’t do that on mine which resulted in the motor getting stripped about 2 months later during a nor’easter rainstorm. My wiper got stuck in the modeler of my windshield while I was drying home on the highway.

You can search my posts as I shared it in more detail.

Hi all has anybody went in for service for a leaking bed the cover does an ok job but the back left and right corners get pretty wet

Has anyone else experienced this?

Can Tesla address this?

Much appreciated
It should not leak. If you have the water management track exposed (as in the photo below) Tesla will add another track to close the gap. It will no longer leak. See the Tesla service link below for details.

Slat System - Tonneau (Rework)
(Modify), Correction code 1120122007.
