I have never had to touch the steering wheel while using FSD 13 in the Cybertruck. It only requires that if it can't see your eyes (sunglasses or a hat can cause this, for example). And if I look away too long and get the blue nag on-screen, just looking forward fixes it, still no need to touch the controls at all.

Not exactly. If it reminds you often, for example if you are driving for two or three hours and keep adjusting the navigation during that time, and you repeatedly trigger a nag by getting distracted, you will get a strike after a few reminders to keep your eyes on the road.

I got a strike during my road trip. I wasn't doing anything except re-adjusting the navigation. Of course, it's better to stop and do that, but we were on a highway with barriers and if we didn't, we would have missed the turn. Alas, I got a strike anyway.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing; it's meant to protect against people who are always on their phones and so on. Still, it gets pretty annoying when you need to do something simple once in a while, like searching for an address, finding a song, or looking for something in the settings. Throw a rock at me, but sometimes this thing is just waa-aay too annoying and makes no sense.

Genuinely, what's your software version? Mine is 2025.20.6 (and FSD is 13.2.9, but it's not related to it IMO) and it's not working anymore. I even filmed it; it's in the video at 5:04.

I don't know if you appreciate negative reviews sometimes, but I personally find them useful. I don't mind to rant about something once in a while. And here's mine.

While I think it's probably just a combination of factors and not exactly an intentionally bad product, the way they handle the situation is quite strange.

First off I wouldn't buy this product even if it did work but that's besides the point. @TLYARD needs to make this right by you by refunding you, if they don't I would dispute it with my credit card, you have video proof they sold you something that doesn't work.

I think Tesla should ban your VIN from using autopilot if they can prove you used or attempted to use safety defeat devices.

Pfft, rude man... Calling people idiots left and right without having a clear idea of how any software or hardware combination works just shows your intelligence ?‍ Calm down.

While there are people who would use such a thing for bad purposes, the current FSD nag system is not ideal given the current FSD state and is rather a safety or legislative measure against, as you call them, “idiots” who don't understand how dangerous distracted driving is.

Another thing that is important to remember is that devices like that are always available and will always be available, either as hardware or software. The magic buttons are from the same category. Again, whether you like him or not, it will not affect how the FSD will be rolled out and will not affect the legislation around it.

There are facial monitoring subroutines that ignore scroll wheel input. In fact, there are subroutines that vary the amount of time and pressure you have to place on the wheel.

They are measuring sobriety through various methods too. But most people are too dense to understand that. Tesla is crushing the automotive manufacturing world in a ton of areas because they are a big-data company.

Yeah, I'm not going to sit by and watch people risk the lives of others and also ruin FSD with more pressure from the feds to add ADDITIONAL nags to the system because of dickheads who want to f*** off on their phone before it's safe and legal to do so with unsupervised FSD.

Best course of action is to just man up and fix the mindset on this one. People need to stop being so wanton with the lives of other people on the highway.
