Subject line. I’m ok with it being limited to like 45 mph or something which would cover most local driving but 25 mph or certain number of feet just seems like such a waste.

You can drive even higher than high with no speed limit:

Off Road/ Overland/High

But doesn’t that harm the truck to drive it at 75mpb on asphalt in any of those modes? I have read they just don’t change the height in off road in particular.

I think you’re thinking of driving on asphalt with locked differentials - you shouldn’t do that. Ride height doesn’t matter, it’s just not as efficient to be higher.

I hope they keep the current setting since it there absolutely will be more crashes if they allow a high ride height higher speeds.

Yes this is what I assumed or why would they not allow the higher ride height on city streets. I can't even go 15mph on high and I believe the off road mode gives you a warning if anyone is certain this will not harm the suspension whatsoever please enlighten me.

Not seeing how driving on high at higher speeds would equate to more crashes. Tons of lifted trucks and Jeeps around here and it has zero correlation to the number of accidents.

It drastically changes the center of mass, roll/pitch dynamics, turning, and even braking distance. Did you know about braking distance?

What percentage of people who drive lifted trucks know that?

Higher height, especially on this heavy EV will change your camber, creating bad tire wear say on outsides, etc. Issue occurs the other way as well on very low for example in the Model X. High+ is fine, just be prepared to get new tires sooner for sure and keep an eye on them.

I’m driving around 70 mph for any distance less than 50 miles.

To all the naysayers. Go find another thread. This thread is how to do something not giving all the reasons not to do it. Teenagers!

False. The title of this thread asks if anyone else wants the suspension to stay in high ground clearance mode above 25 mph. Obviously, giving a reason why you do or don't falls under the scope of the thread.

The only time I want it to stay lifted over 25 mph is when I'm off pavement (and that is covered nicely with the off-road modes).
