CyberBeast delivered: May 9, 2024

I’m excited to say yesterday, Saturday, I received a text from Tesla asking me to open the Tesla app and complete the next step. When I opened the app, my VIN was displayed on the screen and the app allowed me to complete the financing application and get approved, and also the Tesla insurance. The only thing left is scheduling delivery.

I ordered a Cyberbeast so I’m kind of surprised I’m at this step already as I was thinking it would be more towards the end o the year or even early next year. I’m pleasantly surprised. I have not seen any other Cybertrucks driving around in the DC metro area so they must have recently turned on deliveries here. Now I’m wondering how long it will be until delivery. Based on some others‘ experience, perhaps a month?

There was 7 delivered on last week Thursday. Tesla employees told me 30-40 more trucks coming in next 2-4 weeks. You should get yours in 3 weeks imo.

I’m not a shareholder or anyone special, just a regular guy., I placed a reservation during the Cybertruck reveal 4.5 years ago, configured around Dec. 15th of last year.

Since mine is a tri-motor (promised by end of 2024), they must be delivering both dual motor and tri motors at the same time now. That’s my guess

I got my CB VIN a few weeks ago and was told by Tesla rep by text that it would arrive within two weeks. So that should be any day now.

That may be the first Cyberbeast in VA.
The Tesla rep told me it was their first Cyberbeast delivery, but I assumed that just meant the Tysons location.

Just picked up Cyberbeast yesterday. Rep said they're scheduling ten deliveries per day starting 5/1.
Congrats. When did you configure? I configured mine this past Tuesday for AWD because I didnt want to wait until next year for the Beast. But Im tempted to switch.

What got me into the tri-motor in 2019 was the range and towing. I was violently disappointed they made it a performance trim. I stuck with it because I've never bought "fully loaded" versions of my previous cars and waited so long for it.

Here's my timeline...

Non-Employee/ No stock

First Tesla

Pre-ordered all three versions just in case, then converted each to Tri-motor.

RN/Tracker Order
11278 - 35,XXX
11278 - 39,XXX - 11/22/19 Offered Foundation Series Invite on 12/8
11284 - 98,XXX

12/09 - Completed Order

4/23 - Tesla text that VIN assigned, en route to Tysons, and would be ready for delivery within 2 weeks.

5/2 - pickup

When did they contact you about your PowerShare? And how long did it take to get the installation scheduled and completed? According the the rep, my Cyberbeast will be delivered to Tyson’s in a week or so and no one has contacted me yet. I’m starting to wonder how I’m going to charge this thing since it’s my first EV and I don’t have a charging station already.

Are you in VA? I got my PowerShare visit in NoVa March 29 but have heard nothing since. Received vin 1 week ago for Tysons but no word yet on delivery. For home charging, the truck will come with the mobile connector which allows you to charge the truck off any sort of wall power (120-240) as long as you have the correct adaptor. It typically comes with the standard 120 wall adapter and the NEMA 14-50 which is a common 240v dryer/oven outlet and pretty simple to install if you don't have one. This allows you to charge even without installing the Universal Wall Connector which also comes with the truck. Charging at home is super easy off literally any outlet even without the hardwired Wall Connector. 110 is slow but can still get you by for a while (unless you put in a lot of miles daily). And then there's supercharging and other public charging options...
