Even when we do get UFSD idk how comfortable I'd be sleeping while it drives. Maybe pay a little less attention, but sleeping would freak me out.
We are a long way from that. It has to improve in Austin to the point where they don't need a safety driver or remote operator.

And that's just Austin.

I'd bet it's over a year out before you can sleep in the back while it drives you in your personal vehicle. Maybe sooner in the city of Austin.

until it doesn't 🤷‍♂️ lol

I tell people who I let demo FSD that it takes maybe a couple thousand miles to really start learning how the system performs, and when you do it's easy to become more trusting.

Don't get me wrong - fsd is amazing and a marvel of technology even where its at now.... im still amazed every time I go on a drive and use it. I just dont know if I'd be able to get in the back seat and take a nap. I think it would be absolutely incredible to go on a road trip, leave at night and wake up in another state or your destination. Id just have a hard time trusting it that much... at least until its proven it self for a few yrs. Also it doesn't take in to account stupid things other drivers can do, but I guess that can happen to anyone fsd or no.

I'm really liking the newest FSD iteration, however one glaring real issue is a left turn where there is a median. Yesterday, it just turned too sharp and ran over the median with the rear tire. Is this something any of you have had to deal with? What solutions have you come up with?
I have the same problem every day at the same left turn where sometimes it is so bad that it wants to turn into the turning lane for the other traffic. I have started to turn off FSD before I get to the turn.

I think I would be happy if I don't have to pay attention as much. I don't know if I would ever feel comfortable knocked out and it driving around. Part of that is the fact that it is my personal vehicle and not someone else's. Waymo drives around and I'm in the back but it's not my car to worry about.

The left-turn issue has been here - basically - since FSD was released for Cybertruck. I just think it does not like the left side....

- Turns too sharp and hits the medium with the rear wheel when making a left turn in the left lane.
- Turns too sharp on a double-yellow line and lines up in oncoming lane of traffic
- Stays too far in the left lane - sometimes crossing the left line
- Stays too far in the left lane and swings wide-left to pass a truck - often hitting the rumble strips or completely crossing the left yellow line on the edge of the road.

I've reported all of these a number of times, but they still happen - as recently as last week.

So, nothing new.
They gave me a model Y for a loaner a couple of times and that FSD worked perfectly. I'm not sure why the Cybertruck isn't as good as the model Y.

Sure not paying as much attention would be nice., but I agree I dont know if I'd be able to pass out while it drives. Its not the its my truck so I have to worry about it part as much as it getting into a wreck and killing someone or myself. Also when UFSD does become a reality, does Telsa bare all the legal responsibility if the worst did happen?
