Picked my CT up this afternoon. Armor kit looks great. Very solid rock sliders. Big improvement from the original plastic and does not look like an afterthought. My CT is a 36k VIN and required the redesigned HV battery rear skid plate which they had in hand. I have not been able to do any spirited driving yet to determine the amount of any stiffening of the chassis.

That’s great news, hope you enjoy. One of the parts that came in the kit was damaged in shipment so I am awaiting the part. Should be at the SC by Friday and now my pickup time is by EOD Friday. Seems the drivers side top plastic trim piece was what was damaged they sent me photos of what was done and they looks to have replaced the rear battery skid plate as mine is a 29k vin

just picked up my truck. This package does look great and the drive back home felt more rigid and nice. I will post pics tomorrow once I get the Rival heavy duty aluminum front skid plate and front lower control arm plates installed.

Well got the truck all washed after getting it back yesterday. Then installed the Rival front skid plate and front lower control arm plates. Looks pretty good can’t wait for next weekend trip to test it all out. Pics included, thoughts?

Nice, man!

Are the non-OEM plates just plug-and-play? Do they fit with the OEM Terrestrial Armor without any modifications?

I know where my future paychecks are going after Tesla installs my under-armor & sliders!

Does the body actually ride stiffer? Or is that maybe psychological?

Yeah the Rival kit was plug and play. Didn’t take long at all to install. Took the stock skid plate off, then the aero covers on the lower control arms. The only issue I had with the Tesla terrestrial package with the Rival plate is I had to loosen the two bolts where the skid plate mounts by the battery pack so I could slide the skid plate in, this made it easier. It would have been better if the terrestrial package was installed after the Rival skid plate but both ways are easily done. Absolutely no modifications were needed.

when I drove back from picking my truck up it did feel like it felt stiffer and less body roll in turns but that might have been just me thinking that. More tests are needed to know for sure.

There are a lot of extra fasteners into the rockers and the skid plate is thick so there is definitely additional torsional rigidity. (but it's pretty stiff to begin with).
Does also lower CG a little.

after a couple decades of building mod class pocket rockets for scca pro solo autocross I’ve developed some sensitivity to flexing in chassis. It never really bothered me in the stock configuration but there is a significant improvement with the ta kit.
The other thing that I noticed is the suspension feels less overtuned with the additional weight and rigidity. Would recommend this kit for anyone who cares about how their truck handles and wants to remain in the tesla official ecosystem.

By the time I clicked on the email….sold out as others have stated….wonder if they will refresh again for us FS owners or for everyone? In any event, have a few questions for those who have theirs.
1. People have been commenting on the drive feeling stiffer without roll. Do you guys feel this makes it better to drive or less sporty? Cyberbeast owner here.
2. Stupid question since I believe the weight is like having a passenger but how does this affect range? Any effect on acceleration?

thanks in advance!
