Correction. The only USB port that the truck uses for Sentry/Dashcam recordings is in the glovebox. That is USB-A based and not USB-C like all the other ports on the truck. The truck should come with a 128G thumb drive already plugged in. If it’s not working, just format it through the Safety menu.

You can show the office on the screen i the vehicle.

And with all the dangers of driving today, I've never needed it.

you need to plug it into a computer first and create a folder called "TeslaCam"

not sure if the Case of the lettering needs to match, but it needs this folder to record to.

also the crucial drive didnt come with an A to C cord so i had to dig that out of a drawer.

how is this holding up for you? I have read several reviews from people where they are overheating and failing. You seem to have had yours since last year.

I use this one and really like it for lots of reasons.
I keep my truck-eoke mics and wireless controller dongles plugged in (because otherwise you have to boot off a Bluetooth device to use two) and this thing make a little shelf I keep the mic “box” on top of. This is important because of the way the glovebox opens. You want nothing to touch the floor of it you dint want moving/sliding in an out.

I like it for lots of reasons but the main one is form factor. I keep my truck-eoke mics and wireless controller dongles plugged in all the time and I do this because otherwise you have to boot a Bluetooth device every time you want to use two of them together. I prefer to keep my phone connected while the kids are playing against each other in the back.
Anyway, this thing forms a little shelf that I velcroed the mic receiver thing to the top of and because it’s also a hub I just keep the controller dongles plugged into it.
The way the glove box opens, you have to have whatever is in there off the floor of it if you don’t want it to move when you open it.
I’m hunting for a better picture to illustrate.
