Ontario - Plate renewal

has anyone in Ontario had to renew their plates yet? it is my understanding that since the vehicle is 0ver 3000KG the fee will be $225.00 a year vs free for standerd cars!

It's mostly based upon price in California. But it varies by your county and municipal fees.

Yes, This is true. I had to pay the 225 because of the weight. The green plate is not free on the Cybertruck.

Here in Wyoming we laugh at Colorado registration fees.

$2,200 + $200 for an EV sticker here for year 2.

Another Ontarian here....sounds about right. I was told when I bought the truck that this would be the case. The CT is considered commercial vehicle due to the weight.

My renewal early this year was $1400 for FS CT… went up from last year $660 to $1400. I will see in 3 months how much will be for the 3th year.
