Is Autopilot/Traffic Aware Cruise Control (TACC) supposed to match speed limit?

I have a FS AWD on FSD ver 13.2.9 (in Canada).

From what I read online, when TACC is engaged, it's supposed to match the speed limit by slowing down or speeding up as necessary, while adjusting for whatever offset is selected. I have +10% of speed limit selected so I assume that means if I'm driving with TACC in a 50 max zone at 55 max, then enter a 40 max zone, the vehicle should slow down to 44 max, then if the speed limit goes up to 60 max, then the vehicle should speed up to 66 max. Am I correct that this is supposed to happen automatically?

In my truck, that does not happen. If I'm driving in a 50 zone when I engage TACC, everything seems to work fine until the speed limit changes. If I then enter a 40 zone, it continues to speed through that zone at 55. It also will not speed up if I enter a higher speed zone. It just gets stuck at the one set speed despite not being set that way in the settings. It does adjust speed properly in traffic and will follow at an appropriate distance.

Am I missing something or is my TACC not working properly?

I have tried to use it in various situations and it never adjusts the speed. Never from a side street to a freeway but yes from a side street to a rural road (say 40 kph to 80 kph). It must be software related. Either a setting I'm missing or a glitch. FSD works fine and will follow the speed limits I set, but not in TACC mode. It's weird. I was hoping someone else had come across this behaviour and had an easy solution that I'm unaware of.

I have tried a soft and hard reset of the truck but that didn't help.

I’ll have to try it out and see if mine behaves differently. Never used TACC before, always FSD.

TACC has never slowed down automatically for me when speed drops. FSD occasionally does this, but most of the time it speeds along happily doing 65 in a road that went from 65 to 45. I don’t give it much time before I hit the scroll wheel as I don’t want a ticket, so I don’t know what would happened if I just waited a minute…

1) Do you have advanced updates selected?
2) What software are you running on?

(We all seem to forget this important fact when something doesn’t act the way we expect it to.)

At the time of my original post, it was FSD ver 13.2.9. My current version is FSD 14.2.1 and it still does the same thing. I do have advanced updates selected.

Can anyone confirm that while on TACC their vehicle will slow down when entering a slower speed zone?
