I updated to 14.2 last night. Took my first drive this evening and FSD will not engage at all. I am getting an error "Cabin camera unavailable." When I press the right scroll wheel, I don't receive any feedback, it doesn't even tell me autopilot is unavailable. I switched to traffic aware cruise, and it also does not work. Turn signals do not auto cancel. In live security, the cabin camera is not visible.

I have cleaned all cameras and performed reset 5 times.

I will head to SC tomorrow and push to get this fixed while I wait.

On a positive note, the update fixed my washer for the front camera 🙂

Not sure if this is a caution for others or not. I did see that charging was bricked on another owner in a CT group on FB.
reset DAS in service mode may fix it

I did about 100 miles today on 14.2. They have changed the speeds of the profiles. I was getting 5 over the limit on standard and 10 over on hurry. I think I will use hurry on the highway now and standard on streets. On 14.1.7 I was using standard full time.

Overall it was really good. I did nothing during the two drives except switch profiles when I felt it was too slow on the highway.

Hopefully they can tune in the profile speeds and keep them the same through multiple updates.

Updated to 14.2 this morning and had the same thing happen to me 3 times tonight, though not on a freeway, just a 2 lane highway. Will have to test it tomorrow in daylight.

Also tonight, it whipped into my driveway, and drove all the way to the cabin Before shutting down. My driveway is narrow, curvy, and basically is a trail through the woods. It would usually stop at the gate and think for a moment before shutting down.

When driving to the Cotton Patch for dinner, it pulled into the wrong parking lot.

If I can get it to stop the red flashing and take over for no reason I will really like it.

A cleaning of the front windshield camera may help. Once I did that all red hands events have stopped for me.

14.2 is making wide turns for me. Feels like I’m navigating a roundabout turn. Both right and left turns to the point I cross into opposing traffic lanes. I’m not seeing any other reports though 🤔

Navigation under 14.2 is worse, sometimes taking the longer/slower route.

Personally, I haven't noticed much difference in the nag either. Occasionally it will feel like it's allowing me slightly more (very slight) time to change a podcast or add another stop in the navigation. But then other times it seems to start flashing within seconds of me going through a few menu's on the navigation. I can't really see any noticeable improvement overall.

100 percent. Tesla finally got stopping at stopsigns comfortable, but it guns it right after stopping. Uncomfortable for my passengers. If you’re coming to a full stop with a vehicle this powerful, the acceleration has to be more gradual. That’s my only complaint right now. That and some parking rules. Home? Back in. Lots? A toggle for “optimize for closeness” or “try not to park next to anyone if possible, or only on one side if that’s not possible”
For it 14.2, more so than 14.1.7, stops too short at stop signs. It has to creep forward to see and then proceed.

Well, first drive…

-Speed profiles toned down. The whiner folks on X have really done it. It’s like each speed profile moved left one or two slots. I’m now getting passed on mad max on the thruway, hurry is like 5 over, standard was 1mph under the limit often.

-3 brake stabs on one drive. I’ve not had any on 14.1.7. Maybe anecdotal and maybe I just need to clean my cameras.

-NAV seems weird as other others have mentioned. My truck no longer navigates into my company parking lot and backs into the charger like it did on 14.1.7. It’s behaving like it did on V13 in this regard, just aimless.

I hope some of the above was just a fluke from this one drive. I’ll clean my cameras and we’ll see how it does on the way home.

It’s certainly very smooth otherwise. I feel like stop and go at stops signs is smoother.
Minor update, after resetting my work location pin, it now once again finds and backs into my work charger, so that is good. However, the parking job was not great, as others have reported.

my 13.2.9 and 14.1.7 do that.
My impression is more pronounced. Purely subjective though. I could be wrong.

I've been resisting the impulse to apply the accelerator and am amazed by how long the pause is. Perhaps I should be amazed at my level of impatience.

14.2 this morning.

Attention…it allows me to look at the display longer before nag. BUT same nag as before if I look elsewhere.

during highway drive this morning, got “immediate take over” message in red and hazard turned on suddenly. Clear highway. Happened once.

Parked at supercharger better than 14.1.7. So there’s that. 😄

There is way less nag for me. I was able to pickup my phone and start recording, no nag at all, where it would previously immediately throw a warning.

And it gives a lot more leeway for looking at the screen for music.
My subjective observation is that attention alerts occur much more frequently if I’m wearing a hat with a brim while driving. I’ve made a habit of removing my hat in the truck and it seems to have reduced the number of alerts.

Mine occur way more frequently at night. I can look at the screen much longer in daylight before getting nagged.
