So..have you removed one of those long white light strips in the vault? How hard are they to get inside?Right now CyberBeam is controlled through its own controller and app, so you can set color, brightness, and effects without messing with the Tesla UI. The big thing we built around is keeping Tesla’s OEM behavior intact first, so factory animations and Light Shows still work like they’re supposed to.
On the ambient lighting idea, yes, we’ve talked about that a lot. Mimicking the interior vibe and having it track a theme or “profile” is definitely something we want. As far as controlling it directly inside Tesla’s UI, that’s the goal people ask for, but we’re being careful there because anything that ties into Tesla’s systems needs to be done the right way and without breaking updates or OEM functions.
If you could design it, what would you want most:
- Match interior color automatically
- Simple presets you can switch fast
- A “Tesla-like” slider control style
- Sync to lock, unlock, drive, park, etc.
