Vehicle power reduced - Schedule service

only 380 miles on it and it is going in for service. Definitely selling this thing. I think Tesla is gonna give me $74k for it.
Why would Tesla give you more then what the truck was new? Bit confused on that number.. if it is take full advantage and grab an AWD FAST

I could easily live without the rear screen, smuggler’s bay, or adaptive air suspension.
I wouldn't miss the rear screen at all. But do without the smuggler's bay and adaptive/adjustable air suspension? You must be outta your freakin' mind!

Doing without the smuggler's bay (for me) would involve always having a plastic tote full of my emergency gear secured in the bed. And then I would have to put the tote full of gear in the cab whenever I wanted to load the bed full. And without the adaptive air suspension I would lose the option to raise the truck to clear rugged obstacles when necessary. And to lower it for ease of loading big loads, heavy items or for older people with disabilities..

Even worse would be having to do without the automatic disappearing tonneau cover! That's what makes the truck bed a "vault". I don't worry when I park it and it's full of valuable tools.

Why not just get underseat storage for the rear seating?

I havent weighed in on this yet but heres my opinion fwiw.

CT prototype from 5-6 years ago is not the CT that ended up being sold, for better or for worse.
The CT that is being sold, even the ā€œbaseā€ rwd is aluxury EV truck that is definitely not for everyone.

if OP loves his 4runner (which i think are interesting vehicles myself, though never driven or owned one) then thats cool too.

Sell the CT in C&B or another marketplace, pay off your 4runner, and get a Y or a 3 if you want a ā€œeveryoneā€ Tesla. Theres a reason 3/Y outsell every other model combined by 40:1.

this forum has a lot of people who avidly defend the CT as if it is this flawless indestructible mech but in reality it is a low volume, high cost luxury vehicle in a brand new immature segment of the vehicle market that only appeals to a relatively small group of people.

My opinions on Tesla as a company vary. i like many, own stock. so on one hand the company and its future are outstanding, but on the other hand as a consumer of their products, i am torn by the stunning technology and design concepts, and the reality of horrific early build quality and reliability at the expense especially of early adopter time and money.

They’re definitely nice. But that’s because we have them. I bet if CT was sold in Rivian’s little pass through tunnel storage area between the cab and the bed, we couldn’t live without that either, all of a sudden.

I keep an air compressor, bottle jack, charger, and tools in my smugglers bay. If that area vanished, I’d keep them under the rear seat where a bottle jack has been in every other truck I’ve owned. Not a huge deal. You probably get more use out of the adaptive suspension than most people as you go off-roading more, but most people don’t get a whole lot of use out of it.

I’m glad all those things are there, but they aren’t deal breakers.

Because I often haul boxes and luggage on the rear seat floor area with the seats flipped up. That would be a complete no-go for me to have plastic bins full of stuff in the way.

One of the things that attracted me to the interior design is the openness under the seats.

I also think it's one reason why the audio in the Cybertruck sounds so freakin' good (the space under the seats gives the audio more dimension and less echo/sound wave cancellation) and probably reduces ambient background noise on the highway.
