I just spent the day prepping my oversized (they called it a 2 1/2 car) garage for the Cybertruck that arrives next week. The garage is wide but normal depth (21 ft). Both my wife and I park in the garage and share a Tesla Wall charger. We also have two 120V travel chargers permanently installed for slow charging our cars which are my wife's 2024 Model 3 and my 2025 Model Y. The Y is being traded in for the Cybertruck. While width in garage is no problem, I only have 3 ft total extra space lengthwise to work with once the Cybertruck moves in. I'm interested in what it's like keeping a large vehicle like the Cybertruck in a garage.

I also have a large empty RV parking pad on the garage side of the house with a powered gate and that is my second option. I'd need an extension cord to reach the Cybertruck's charge port or, install another Wall Charger on the outside wall. I'm getting the Cybertruck wrapped (PPF) and I really prefer to keep it garaged. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
I recommend bolting 2 x 4 boards to the floor behind the read wheels so you always back up to the same depth and don’t hit the wall or anything behind the truck.

That's a good looking parking chalk. I just placed an order with Amazon for one. Thanks.

I odered two of the 24" wide 3.5" tall ones (Amazon). Think I'm sending them back because I don't want to trip over the damn things walking around the garage at night. I've got some ideas and will wait till the trucks here to figure it out.

Nope, trip hazard ... at my age hitting concrete isn't good.

We have a three car garage. I back the CT into the single stall squeezing against pool noodles and dog retriever bumpers to cushion rear bumper from the wall. In front, I have no more than 2-3” of clearance for the hardware on the garage door. In total, I have 4-6” of total play front and back. Mobile charger mounted center back of the garage on 14-50. It’s tight, but old habit after just a few weeks.

I had a loaner CT for one night and plan to purchase one soon. My garage allows for about 1” of clearance lengthwise but it’s doable with the bumper camera. I actually modified the back wall of the garage so the studs aren’t in the way of the bumper, otherwise it would be impossible. I plan to place wooden blocks on floor to stop the wheels and maybe a hang up a string or something.
Check out my reply regarding pool noodles as pad between bumper and wall.

half our garage has a bumpout in the back that lets us park two short cars end to end. We had a jeep for a while and had to pull it right up to a couple inches from the wall. I got it positioned once just right, then hung a tennis ball on a string from the ceiling so that it just touches the windshield.

I use the lower-profile 18-inches long stopper, and that needs only one stopper per vehicle.

If placed well, the stopper could be completely under the parked vehicle without sticking out from the side of the tire.

The cameras are so good, especially the rear, it’s no problem.
Thanks, good to know.👍

True but when the truck isn't in the garage they could be trouble. I'm keeping them till the truck gets here and will decide then.
