Mad Max FSD driving is how I normally drive except the speed limit. I sure wish it would go back to the scroll wheel controlling the speed rather than the mode. I live in a community where the speed limit is 20 MPH. Before I turn Into the complex the speed is 45 MPH, but it will not recognize the change. I have to scroll down to Sloth And it still goes too fast because it thinks the speed limit is 45 MPH. There needs to be a way to override it.

Normal issue many of us like max speed override as it was in v13 over the v14 pre sets. I travel a lot and some highways when the was under construction last year the speed was 35 now that construction is complete normal is 65 but truck likes to slow down to 38 even tho the signs say 65. Gotta watch it close bc it will get you a ticket unless your on a Texas highway where speed is 85 as FSD currently max out at 85 lol.

I use it only in certain situations. Usually when there's an annoying car that I want to get away from. Someone that keeps passing and slowing down in front of me. I hate that. Once they do it a couple times I turn on MAD MAX. Then get far enough ahead of them and go back to hurry or standard.

Interesting how different our trucks perform on the same FSD software. Mine will not go over the speed limit in Mad Max on most of our local streets (Comfort or Sport makes no difference). All 5 modes go about 33 in a 35, and all 5 go about 47 in a 55. On freeways the modes operate as expected with Mad Max aiming for 80-85 in a 70.mph. Maybe my CT knows my age and drives like it in town!!

You can set the speed limits.

My FSD usage is 15% because of the speed profiles. I would probably be 50%+ if FSD let me control speed again.

The police ticket at 10mph+ over the speed limit near me. I like to drive at 8mph over when cruising leisurely. Standard typically does 12mph over and sloth does 2mph over. I am not happy with either speed, so FSD is useless in most situations in my area.

Add in the fact that speed limits are just wrong often, every road by my house is way off. 15mph school zone, ignored. 45mph street, FSD thinks it is 35mph. Etc.

I wish mine would reach the speed limit without having to apply the go pedal - regardless of speed profile mine never hits the speed limit unless I provide some encouragement.

More generally, speed profiles are a huge regression: they have an unmet dependency on the vehicle being able to determine the speed limit. On my truck, I've done long drives where it hasn't gotten the speed limit right for hours. Speed profiles turn something magical into frustration.

Yup - exactly how mine behaves, except I don't get a reprieve on the freeway: it never reaches the speed limit (which it usually gets wrong anyway) in any mode.

I really miss speed control - I used to love FSD. Now it's just a continuous speed battle with constant pedal use and tons of disengagements.
