It started with a simple screen warning…front camera needs to be cleaned. Wipers didn’t do it. Then multiple warnings…everything from seat belts to wiper fluid. Then all warning light started blinking red and then total power loss. Lucky I was able to creep a parking spot 100 yards away. Did a couple of total of resets that didn’t help. Then a total crash no power, no screen, everything locked down. Good thing I had drivers door open, or I would have had to pull manuall door lock to get out.

Good part Tesla had a tow truck there in an hour. In the Tesla shop awaiting parts. Not sure of the problem yet. It is scheduled to be fixed by Saturday.

The small price you pay for keeping up with state of the art technology advances. Still, love the Beast. The new model Y loaner is greatly improved in ride and quietness.

you are right…..I find they don’t like to go into details of any fix. I will see if I can give a more definitive answer when I pick it up. When I had the PCS replace because it wasn’t taking a charge they were reluctant to discuss what was replaced.

When I said this time maybe it is the PCS….the response was no we already replaced that.

when my PCS went out it simply wouldn’t take a charge.

This it went through a whole series of gyrations and different warnings on the screen before totally shutting down DEAD. It was warning my washer fluid, my seatbelts were disconnect, my cameras were blocked, warnings to pull over, etc etc. My battery
was 80% charged when this happen. It was more like a total computer failure.
Sounds like a truly sucky situation. I hope for you that it gets fixed soon.

I had my PCS replaced and two days later, multiple on screen Active Alerts: APP_w009 Automatic Emergency Braking is unavailable, TAS_a313 Adaptive ride control, DI_a222 Stability control disabled, DI_a223 Traction control disabled. Then shortly after the alerts, the red screen “PROCEED WITH CAUTION Critical issue detected” happens. My Cybertruck is at the SC now getting worked on.

Good to know. Sounds like what mine did. Maybe it is the PCS again. I will be sure make every effort to find out exactly what has failed and pass it on when I find out.

UGH....oh no...for all of us that have already had their PCS replaced if that's it. But your description of what happened was much more severe than the PCS warnings.....thanks for sharing this and what you find out from Tesla.

Sounds like the communication network, not sure what system Tesla uses.

When Tesla changes the PCS do they have to take off any body panels?
I think mine is bad scheduled service. charges fine at super charger but when connected to either one of my level 2 chargers it drops to 24 amps instead of 48.
does this sound correct?

PCS for sure, this is what it does before going completely unable to charge on Level 2

Now I just need to schedule on a day that's not a Friday, so they are not in a hurry to start the weekend and do a crappy job. Nothing worse than mechanics working on my cars

GROK…..looks like you need a new PCS

Common early warning signs and failure symptoms include:
- Reduced or unavailable AC (Level 1/2) charging — Charging speed suddenly drops (e.g., max 24A instead of 48A on a capable home charger) with little or no warni
- Specific alerts on the touchscreen:
- “AC Charging Unavailable”
- “Powershare unavailable”
- PCS2 error codes such as a094, a035, or a137_cycBmosfetHealthCheckFailed (or similar).
- In Service Mode → Charging tab, the PCS shows red/error status.
- Flickering or odd behavior at the charge port light.
- Precursor symptoms: Loud or abnormal noise from the air suspension compressor (some owners reported this before full failure).
- In severe cases: Inability to use bed/passenger 120V/240V outlets (Powershare), low-voltage system glitches, or the truck becoming undrivable/unchargeable on AC power.

Tesla often replaces the PCS under warranty (or sometimes proactively if a service visit reveals the issue). Out-of-warranty repairs have been reported in the $2,500–$6,000+ range (part + labor). Some owners note updated/revised PCS hardware in later replacements.
