I'm sharing this in hopes that it might help others having the same issue.

I got my CyberTruck (AWD) in August and have always had some wind noise coming from the front drivers side window/door. It sounded like the window was just slightly cracked open or not sealing all the way causing a slight hissing noise whenever I got above 50mph. I took it in for service twice and they were never able to resolve the issue. The first time they replaced the door seal and the second time they replaced the door latch saying the door wasn't fully pulling shut.

I finally decided to just start taping up gaps and taking it for a test drive to figure out where the leak (noise) was coming from. After ruling out the window, I starting working my way through the door panels and finally figured it out! It ended up being from the slanted panel gap under the side mirror, which I've circled in the picture below. The wind was coming in through there causing noise inside the door.

I fixed the issue by adding a small piece of this Z-shaped rubber seal I got on Amazon for $13 to cover the gap. I also cut down another piece that I ran along the gap that touches the side mirror holder for good measure.

Hopefully this helps someone else because it had been driving me nuts for a long time!

Although not necessary, I also added this rubber edge seal to both sides of the front door panel gap to completely seal that gap. Depending on how big the gap is, you may not be able to have it on both sides. My passenger side door makes a pop noise whenever I open it because the rubber is pressing too tightly together. I also added one strip to the edges of all the doors to prevent door dings from the steel.

These have actually helped seal out some other road noise and I've noticed the cabin is a little quieter which is another bonus!

I have the same issue - thanks for posting!

Any chance of in situ pics of the strip you added? I'd like to copy your approach.

Edit: sorry, I'm probably misunderstanding: is the strip on the outside? Or did you install it from the inside of that gap?

I have this exact same issue and every time I go to the service shop when I drive them around it doesn't happen lol. Thank you! I will give this a shot.

Same here… very slight… wonder if something like this can be installed on the inside…

It’s a z-shaped strip so the adhesive sticks to the underside of the panel (you have to open the door to be able to get your fingers in there to press it in place). Then it comes up thru the gap and over the side of the door.

I’d stick a piece of painters paint over the gap I have circled and then take it for a test drive to see if that eliminates the noise before ordering the seal just to be sure. You won’t be able to open the door without breaking the tape so you’ll either have to reach thru the window to tape it off or crawl in thru the passenger side.

Thanks! I have a roll on order - can't wait to try it!

I had my hopes pinned on active noise cancellation but that seems to have no effect at all.

For those in Canada, I used this:

Worked great - wind noise is much reduced, and it's fairly unobtrusive.

It's a bit tricky to get your fingers behind the mirror area to give the adhesive a good push but I managed it and so far it hasn't moved.

Thanks to @T800X for the suggestion!

So this goes completely on the inside of the door and is not visible unless looking at the space between door and fender?
It's shaped like a "Z", one arm of which sticks inside while the other arm is on the outside spanning the gap in the panels.

Sorry, I can't take a picture right now. But from the outside it looks like the other gap seals.

Wind noise completely gone for you?

Thanks!

Correct. I’m thinking about putting along the entire door length and on the passenger doors as well. See if it’ll help even more

Not completely, but very much diminished.

I like to rest my arm along the ledge where the door meets the window and I could always feel the wind blowing on my fingers. I don't feel that anymore.

And it looks like it belonged there all along.

I'm pleased.
