The latest blog Article has published here: Cybertruck Center Console Docking Station

The article contains information about installing this new center console docking station that allows you to charge up to 5 items at one time. Additionally, the installation shown in this video includes how to install this item if you own a central console lock box as well. I've been using this item for a few months now and it has worked flawlessly and I've charged and operated several different devices while the devices were plugged into this docking station.

So no word from this "Darren" except a "Trust me Bro, I'm not Kai" message even though we know he was associated with Teslovix somehow and nothing from @Tesstudio except denying Kai's existence yet you still want to be associated with them? I'm disappointed Ken. They flat out stole from people.

That’s what we get for being gullible Americans. We are far too trusting.

I suspect that Darren IS Kai, one and the same.

Not to harp on this situation and fan the flames because I also got communications from Darren saying he was “definitely not Kai or associated with him” but wasn’t this your concern too Ken?
Didn’t Kai before he left Tesstudio ask you to review items under the name Teslovix? Doesn’t that make you at least modestly supicious? That was the impression I got from you at least.
Also, did you have any luck contacting @Tesstudio about the theft? I thought I remembered you saying you were going to reach out to your contacts there. Did they have anything to say?
is @Teslovix now a sponsor here? Because as I understood it they need to be in order to market here as in the above video.
I think you can call it whatever you like but in practical terms it’s an infomercial you made for them in exchange for the product. At least I think that’s all the reward you get, but I don’t honestly know how it works at your level.
fwiw, I still really enjoy your infomercials. Including this one.

Maybe Darren is Kai or maybe not. What I do know is Kai was representing Tesstudio and ripped me off. My fault ? Probably so - too trusting. The response from Tesstudio was underwhelming and makes me hesitant to purchase from any of those companies. You know the ones, they send out free items for reviews, they have contests in the forums, they have “coupons”

Hesitant? After writing this I just may never buy from any of them again.
I am the victim of the “long con.” I think we all are being victims of “the super long con” where China is killing American manufacturing and innovation. Alas I digress.
Good luck to us all.

These companies have had more than ample time to respond and explain themselves after we repeatedly tagged them in that other thread. I know the actions of one rogue employee don’t define a company, but the picture is definitely getting clearer now.

Ken, I thought better of you. You can’t pretend to be oblivious to this. You know what’s going on here and you’re still selling out to them. If you’re willing to endorse a company that lies, cheats, and steals, I can’t trust you or anything you say.

WOW WTF?
I received this product months ago, the article was written probably a month ago but never published because I didn't have the link to the product because it wasn't in stock and the Teslovix website wasn't up yet.

I have no way of knowing if Darran is Kai but their communications have sounded different to me at times and similar at times. I have provided Darren's contact info to others here and they are free to communicate with him as well and make up their own minds. If there is a way to dump WhatsApp conversations into AI and have AI compare them to see if AI thinks it is the same person I guess we could try that.

Darren has had every opportunity to scam me (I have prepaid for some items) and he has not. Just yesterday when he was sending me funds via PayPal to reimburse me for a product as was our agreement PayPal took out a fee and he sent me extra $ to cover that fee. That doesn't sound like someone who is out to scam people or doesn't care about the customer.

Go back in the forums here and when V1 of this product came out from MULTIPLE suppliers one of the questions raised was "Could you install it with the center console safe?" - I answered that question in the article and video with an affirmative YES and demonstrated how I did so. That was the point of this article and video to answer a question raised in this forum. Personally, I don't care whether you buy the product or not and I get $0 if you do, there is no affiliate code with Teslovix, no kickbacks on the number of products purchased. The only perk I got was that after pre-paying for the item once my review is published, they would reimburse me for the money I was out. This protects them from people claiming to be influencers, getting free products and then bolting and producing nothing. Yes, I take a risk with any supplier where I have to pre-pay that I will get reimbursed, some vendors do it that way, some don't. If you don't want to buy from Teslovix then don't, go buy from another supplier that has the same item, but at least you will be armed with the knowledge that this item can work with the center console safe thanks to this article and video.

As for TesStudio I haven't had an issue with them in the past, but I also have not heard back from them the last few times I've tried to reach out. Those who got scammed by them should seek legal action if they are unable to get a refund / reimbursement.

FWIW I have other products inbound from other suppliers and will publish those articles in the future as well, it just so happens that Teslovix is launching their website, so they have a lot of items to review in a short time frame. Hansshow hasn't sent my anything in ages, I think it could be because I pointed out the faults in the wiring harnesses that cut off the a-pillar speaker. If Teslovix releases a product with faults, I will point those out as well. I personally think a lot of vendors have backed off on creating products for the Cybertruck because the sales numbers haven't been what was first predicted when they got into the market.

Last, but not least, as for this whole China vs the US manufacturing thing, I do wish more products were made in the US and when I've found products I like from US manufacturers for the Cybertruck I have snatched them right up and written articles about them. I was just commenting in another thread yesterday about my US made running boards that I consider far superior in both materials and design to any of the running boards I've seen come out of China and one of the reasons I have turned down every offer to install other ones on my truck, so please don't paint me as someone who is a shill for China.

I will try not to take the comments in the replies above personally as I realize none of you know me in real life, don't think any of you were at X Takeover last year when I was there in person and none of you are members of our local Tesla Owners Club of KC but it is a little disheartening to see people jump on an anti-Darren and anti-Teslovix bandwagon and throw stones in my direction because I've been willing to take Darren at his word. Anyway, I'm off to go see if Grok can help.

And just to show that I am not biased or a shill for someone I took my conversations from WhatsApp and ran them through Grok. Here is Grok's answer:

Analysis: Are these two conversations from the same person?

Short answer:
Yes, very likely the same person. The probability is high (I'd estimate 80-90%+). The writing style, personality, business approach, and specific quirks match extremely well across both conversations

So given that Grok says that Darren and Kai are the same person based on WhatsApp conversations I would say that it is my recommendation to do the following:

1) Read the article and watch the video solely for the content and ignore the product link to purchase.

2) If you do choose to purchase then take precautions such as payment methods where you can easily dispute a transaction or get a refund or only pay upon receipt of the product.

3) If you believe you were scammed by Kai in the past then seek reimbursement from Darren, if you need the phone number he is using in WhatsApp please DM me and I am happy to provide it. I also have a gmail email account for him if that helps.

I do not want to see anyone get scammed, but I do want people to have knowledge about these products.

I will also offer this because I think it was mentioned by @hemiarch , I have one of those 18L center console refrigerators inbound from Teslovix. After I do an install article on it I am happy to send it to your friend @hemiarch who bought one and never received it as long as he pays the shipping I will box it back up and take it down to UPS and send it to him. My article on the fridge will not mention the source of the fridge, only my experience installing it. If Darren has an issue with it then I will tell him in order to get attribution anyone who did not receive their product promised by Kai must receive their product before any attribution can be given, in other words everyone must be made whole.

Hope that helps.

Thank you Ken. Appreciate your acknowledging the elephant in the room. Grok is reiterating what we all already think is likely true.
it’s generous of you to offer your review unit to Gabe. I’ll let him know. I know he feels somewhat bamboozled and I think that will make him whole although it’s really not your responsibility. Just a stand-up thing to do.

Noble gesture, Ken, but you need to get out of bed with these people until they come clean. I got your DM and will respect its privacy. That said, this/these companies have developed a reputation of dishonesty. Choosing to look the other way and play the “don’t ask, don’t tell” card is a bad look.

I thought I said that, that I will not include links to their products until they come clean, but in order for them to come clean, I think there needs to be a list created with the following info:

1. Product(s)
2.When ordered
3. How were they paid for
4. What vendor or person were they ordered from?

We should compile a list of affected parties so we can determine the damages, potential course of action, etc. I also think that if TesStudio is paying $4000/month to be a sponsor here and that they are still a sponsor here after this has been reported to the Administration here (which is has months ago) that the Administration of this forum has some responsibility to "get out of bed" with TesStudio as well and potentially assist those forum members who have been swindled.

i had version 1 and have had v2 since it came out. didnt buy it from any vendor here because they all seem shady to me.
i dont know all the issues with kia/ken/whomever. i chose to do business with folks who have a larger presence than some drop shipper. ive gotten burned by using these cats before ( abstract ocean is an exception).

with all due respect, this thing does not need any "install instruction" you dont even have to use the sticky tape ( i did). Its plug and play and NOT UL listed, so use that info for what you will.

that said, i like it and its been behaving for me.

You know full well admins won’t do that. You’ve been here longer than me. They don’t care about us. They get money from these sponsors. That’s all that matters. If they cared about us they’d get rid of these shady companies and actually support free speech on this platform.

Regarding this “list,” this isn’t a court of law. We don’t need hard evidence and proof beyond a reasonable doubt. We see trends, people talk, and boom. Trust broken. Really wish a respected member like yourself would stop defending them.

I'm not defending them nor am I suggesting we need to hold a trial here. What I am suggesting is that I'm not sure we know how big this problem is. Was 1 person scammed? 2? a dozen? I don't have any idea, hence asking if people who were scammed could come forward and we gather information to ascertain the extent of the problem. Once we know that, we can figure out how to best proceed. All I'm asking for at this point is more information.

As for the administration of this site, if they were alerted to potential criminal activities (scams) and did nothing about it, then at a minimum they are likely negligent and if a legal proceeding takes place at some point in the future they could be found liable for damages. I know because I used to run a very large forum and when scams were brought to our attention we had a duty to investigate or else we could have been held liable. We had to police the classifieds and as long as we took action in a reasonable amount of time we were fine. I don't think several months is reasonable.
