I find it interesting that this issue happened so early in the vehicles life that they didn't come across this when testing. I hope this gets resolved soon as I kind of want to replace my Lightning with a CT soon-ish

Member of the PCS2 club now! First message in service mode showed up April 16th. Talking with the service center they suggested to not AC charge at all. Also suggested to not use the outlets until the PCS2 module was replaced. My appointment has been moved once but as of right now it is scheduled for June 17th. So that timing checks out with what others have said, 60-90 days out from opening service appointment.

It's already resolved with a revised part, but they have to match production of the new part to demand that just exploded.

Mine popped while sitting still charging last night. Got the notification that charging (40A, Tesla wall connector) stopped around 8PM @ 70%. I had plugged in around an hour earlier due to a pretty gnarly midwest storm that was incoming last night, in case we lost power. Went out and checked, and the PCS fault on the screen with the message to try DC. Haven’t driven it in a few days so it was seemingly unprovoked. May 2024 delivered foundation with a near perfect ownership service history and currently at 18k miles, for what it’s worth.

Didn’t want to create another thread, but I guess add me to the list. Glad this happened at home, and not on a road trip or something.

Anyone in Omaha, or who gets their service from the Council Bluffs, Iowa center, dealt with this yet? I requested service a few minutes ago, but curious how long the wait will be. they replied that parts are not available but on order.

Interesting? sure...but I'd wager testing involved primarily superchargers vs. 240v x 48amps.....that and the issue seems to be a 40k - 60k mile failure
You won't miss the Lightning for long if at all

My CT has now been charging for 4 weeks at 24v since partial failure of PCS reported April 14th. I have only used a supercharger 1 time in those 4 weeks. My fingers are crossed I can last until my July 6th service appointment. Originally my appointment was set to May 4th only to get rescheduled on April 28th to July 6th. My closest Supercharger is 20 mins away in the opposite direction I usually drive. Anybody have their repair invoice to share so I can make sure all the right parts are replaced? My service center ordered the harness and PCS units.

Was told it's not a matter of stock but rather they are reengineering the part so who knows how long it will take.
Let's hope you were told wrong, otherwise all of the replaced units will need yet another replacement, and ongoing production vehicles may need replacements as well.

Mines in for service now. Fun times

Wow, 1/2 hour to install? I read they have to take your bed apart to repair it. I am concerned that the fix will be good for two more years and then I am out of warranty. I heard the G revision has had to be replaced sometimes as well.

not sure I’m having other things done too, looks like labor is 4.7 hrs on that line item. Tires and fix my tailgate latches Bill comes out to 4400 total, I’m out of warranty 73k miles, so that’s my bill to charge at home again. At least I did get the free supercharging update good till Aug as long as they don’t revoke it at completion I should be able to break even with the PCs portion.

Hi guys, is the free supercharging enabled automatically for PCS throws the error

Or does Tesla need to acknowledge that there is an error and then they give you free supercharging somehow?
