I love accessories for my CT. but if the range to suffer from it, I will not buy it. They look nice though. The CT have the wind deflector in front off the tires, not sure if this mud flap countered it. It may help with deflecting the mud if I am in the muddy situation, rarely for me.

Ok, I’ll be the dumb guy to ask first. What’s the point of mud flaps if you’re not doing a bunch of muddin’? Does it help from getting pebbles and such from kicking up onto the rest of the truck? Is it an aesthetic choice?

Just from driving in the rain I’ve had spray up the side of the body from the rear tires. I’m hope the mud flaps contain the spray that leaves residue when it dries.

Mine was delivered a few days ago and your packaging is in way better shape than how mine came in lol.

I don’t know if they messed the packaging up from the origin site or if FedEx damaged it. Doesn’t really matter though since the mudflaps were in good condition.

Looks like how I received the Pet Liner… too much air in the packaging and poor handling results in copious packaging tape!

Mudflaps can also prevent small rock chips on your side trim and/or door panels kicked up by the tires. Although the HFS is stronger than regular SS, it'll still be able to be damaged by small rocks from road surfaces.

I question calling it "damage" to the stainless panels if that "damage" is of no consequence (basically invisible, or nearly so) and could be easily brought back to new condition at any time with a sander.

As to preventing mud splashes on the side of the truck, it will probably reduce splashes, but I've never seen mud flaps that could eliminate puddle splashes. But the real point I wanted to make, is that after around 400 miles off pavement driving, I've noticed the Cybertruck consistently has really nice mud splash patterns. :) I think it looks better, much better, after splashing through some mud puddles than it looks freshly washed. That may not be the case with mud flaps in use, I don't know because I haven't tried them.

I want to be clear; I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from mud flaps, just adding more data points for the decision process. They will not help aero, or Tesla would have included them with the truck.

Agreed. I was trying to answer the question from @batlag for "Does it help from getting pebbles and such from kicking up onto the rest of the truck?" One person's tiny rock chip can be another person's "damage" :p we're all different.

It’s not about the savings at all. CT is my 8th tesla, i already have mudd flaps on from TWRAPS and are working fine. I just like the shape of the ones from Tesla bc it has the CT silhouette design.
Then it really comes down to function. Why one mentioned price I don't know. It seemed like a strange comment. I also have the Tesla ones arriving Monday. Hope you enjoy. If they work I would have payed $200. Might have to reconsider or check on removability. I could see an easy rip off if not in correct height.

Most Mud Flaps I've seen are flexible. These look to be Rigid, correct? If so, can you measure the clearance off the ground when CT is in normal ride height? I'm wondering about how high of curbs it will clear.

That's what mine looked like when delivered, too. Haven't opened them yet, as I don't even have a VIN, but perhaps I should check them...
