I’m kind of digging the “dirty” look on the truck. Makes it look more rugged lol.I question calling it "damage" to the stainless panels if that "damage" is of no consequence (basically invisible, or nearly so) and could be easily brought back to new condition at any time with a sander.
As to preventing mud splashes on the side of the truck, it will probably reduce splashes, but I've never seen mud flaps that could eliminate puddle splashes. But the real point I wanted to make, is that after around 400 miles off pavement driving, I've noticed the Cybertruck consistently has really nice mud splash patterns.I think it looks better, much better, after splashing through some mud puddles than it looks freshly washed. That may not be the case with mud flaps in use, I don't know because I haven't tried them.
I want to be clear; I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from mud flaps, just adding more data points for the decision process. They will not help aero, or Tesla would have included them with the truck.
