Don't do it BeastForce1! The other CTs in my town are AWD, they all feel bad about theirs after seeing my Beast. It's worth the wait, unless you want to join the full-of-regret club. The Rivian Quad will just make that club feel even worse in 2025.

If you need a hold over truck, buy a Lariat (better than AWD IMO). If you want the best, you're on the right track.
There is ZERO chance I fold at this point. It’s been 6 months lol. I’m just salty those morons had me jump through hoops 3 months ago to submit my shareholder info for nothing. I already have a Rivian R1S quad (gen 1) I’m good for now ?

That's funny because I leased an R1T because my wife said "If you park one of those ugly Cybertrucks in our driveway, I'm moving out of this house." And she was NOT joking. So now I have a Rivian truck, which she thinks looks fine. Only had it for two weeks and it's pretty nice, but I really did want to get the Cybertruck after waiting all that time. I only have a two year lease, so who knows....
Keep showing her pictures of wraps and maybe one will strike her fancy. Of course, then you might not like it much. ?

4 biggest shortcomings of the new Rivians:

Limited to 250kW charging
(CyberTruck can do 350kW)

No Steer by Wire

No Self Driving (coming to CyberTruck next month!)

Not bullet resistant!

As for purported 0-60 time of <2.5secs, MotorTrend achieved 2.5 with all Terrain tires on CyberBeast…getting it under 2.5 with sport tires is a given.

Nice try but no cigar Rivianites!?

Range is still king for me , I won't get get a Rivian because there is not a dealer within about 100 miles. The CT's biggest shortcoming (especially on the beast) is the battery (unless you are using it like a M 3/Y) . I passed on my invite yesterday, hopefully they can get the range over 400 without extender in the next few years..

Jason camisa already got the rivian under 2.5. if range is king then Rivian wins. Is steer by wire really needed on a shorter truck? How many bullets you dodging?

The refreshed R1 series is awesome, I personally still want to get the Cyberbeast(non foundation series) and eventually sell my Model Y and get my wife the refreshed R1S in an ideal world maybe 3-4 years from now.

60 miles extra is not as much as a flex as people think it is (especially with SC network). Unless you are full boondocks.
Both trucks serve different purposes … both good trucks. 0-60 is for the vast majority insignificant when we are talking about 2.5 - 2.7. Who cares.

I agree with the comments stating that the Rivian although a great car is more akin to an SUV than a truck. Despite all the crap it gets the CT can really be used as a work truck.
I doubt you could do this with a Rivian:

And so can the beast….

if range is king then Rivian wins.
if charge time is king then CyberTruck wins.

Is steer by wire really needed on a shorter truck?
Needed? Is anything other than food air & water truly needed? Talk about lowering the bar!?
How many bullets you dodging?
You never know…

again lowering the bar seems to be your thing…
