im sure it is not. in the video the wiper is moving from side to side 100's of times on a long drive. Then this is an EPIC FAILURE for the wiper as its constant recalibrating and it should not be doing this
For Tesla to have an epic failure with windshield wipers is, by now, not news. My beef is with dust. If the windshield is dusty but not wet the wiper only cleans the driver side and leaves streaks where the wiper fluid comes out on the passenger side. There just isn’t enough of a spray pattern on the washer nozzles to wet the entire glass so it doesn’t get cleared. Fixable? I think so, but it might require a blade redesign and a stronger washer pump.

Or posdibly software update to start the pump sooner and/or pause the wiper in the down position since it only sprays during half the swipe.

I have to back off on my earlier comments. When I received my Cybertruck I assumed that the washer reservoir would be full, so when I washed the windows I thought there would be plenty of fluid. When I took the truck in for service on the wind noise (which they acknowledged and fixed with a realignment by the way) I told them that the wiper wasn't cleaning the passenger side and they checked it, but I later found out that they also did not fill the washer reservoir. Yesterday I bought some washer fluid and it took almost the entire gallon to fill the reservoir. I tested it a moment ago, and it took half a dozen swipes of the wiper but it does, indeed, clear the passenger side. Those were the only 2 issues I identified on the Cybertruck so I am happy.

I noticed at speed above 75mph or during high gusty wind conditions, my wiper blade does move a bit but not as much as on your video ?

I have been reluctant to use my wiper to clean the windshield while driving even though I tested it and it worked while stationary (as noted above). Yesterday I decided to give it a try while moving at highway speed and, although it kind of worked, it was far from what I'd have gotten from any other vehicle's windshield wiper, especially a new one. It took many strokes to get the windshield 'kind' of wet enough to clean the dust off, and when I stopped adding fluid the windshield was 'mostly' clean. A normal car's windshield would have been totally clean with 1-2 squirts and a couple of strokes. So, I am not happy with the windshield wiper to clean a dusty windshield and that is what we live with for 9 months in California.

I had my wiper start the ghost “wiggling” when a crosswind at high speed knocked it off its resting spot. Triggering a wipe sent it back to the usual parked position, and it stopped.

My Cyberbeast is part of the wiper motor recall so I'm scheduled to have the motor plus the recalled sail applique replaced. Hopefully, this will fix the issues?

Anyone know of a fix for this wiper twitching issue? Service can't/won't. They're fix is to use the constant wipe settings. Which may be good at times but kind of also annoying and I've experienced trouble with the manual button activating or doing the same start and stop. Also, wiper worked fine prior to the recall, but they would not put it back in even though it worked better.

NGL. I watched the video and with the music it just looks like your cybertruck is happy and wagging it's cyber tail.

But seriously. I don't get that so it should be fixed. (Not neutered)

Can the SC not reproduce the issue? At high speeds, I can see the lower part of the wiper rubber flutter a little due to wind but the arm itself doesn't twitch like that. I have a different problem in that it parks the wiper in the wrong place. It doesn't put it back vertical out of view, it stops and leaves it sticking into the windshield a bit. My service appointment is tomorrow so we'll see what they say.

So I did not have this problem until...I took the truck to the service center for the wiper motor recall repair service. Now I have the same issue as shown in the video above.

Same here. It was today (Sept 20, 2024). I had warned the service folks about this issue after the recall motor fix.
And now I have the twich. It only happens in Auto setting, if manually or in a 1. 2 etc. it is fine.

Since it was late and I had to leave and the wiper was otherwise working on other settings, I set up another appointment. They have been very supportive and promised to get to the bottom of it. So if they fix it on Oct 10 (appn date), I’ll put an update here.

They said the motor recall still had to be done because the new one is “better” and/or “robust”, because I was like WTF man (in a nice way). Oh let’s see how this story plays out.
