I’m just looking forward to auto parking when I’m in a bind
I would hope that they activate some kind of reversing/parking proximity sensor at least as its quite disconcerting after all the years of hearing a beep beep BEEP....to camera view and silence

I need help.

My wife and I ordered a 2023 Model Y to replace her 2020 Model Y as part of the one-time FSD transfer program. After being told “The FSD transfer has been completed!” from Tesla via the Tesla App, we sold the 2020 Model Y. FSD was NOT transferred.

We moved from Nebraska to Maryland and during that trip was the first time she realized FSD wasn't working. "I can't get the single blue line. Just the two blue ones."

Anyway, I've tried with the Service Center back in Council Bluffs, both of the nearest ones here in Maryland, and even emailed to some Tesla litigation email address. Nobody has replied (to the emails) and the SCs were not helpful. I've even tried through the Tesla Chat function in the App.

Not knowing where else to put this, I put it in the first FSD app thread.

Here is a timeline of events. Texts were received via the Tesla App. Screenshots are available.

OUR VERY FIRST TESLA

20 Apr 2020: Purchased Model Y VIN: 5YJYGDEE8LF0112xx. Neither of us had ever even touched a Tesla before. The delivery day experience was very memorable, and we enjoyed it immensely.

THE CURRENT MODEL Y

19 Jul 2023:
Ordered Model Y 2023 VIN: 7SAYGDEE1PA1543xx and put down $250.

19 Jul 2023: Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement Accepted by customer.

28 Jul 2023: Paid balance of $53,380.00 for 2023 Model Y VIN: 7SAYGDEE1PA1543xx.

29 Jul 2023: Received text from Tesla “The FSD transfer has been completed!” At this point, we knew we were good to sell the 2020 Model Y.

04 Aug 2023: Sent text to Tesla “Hey, our delivery shows 5th-7th. Are we good to go? The FSD transfer showed we owed money for it but has now changed. Just wanting to make sure we aren’t doing something to hold up the sale. Is it in Iowa yet? Thank you, xxxx”

04 Aug 2023: Received reply from Tesla “Hello, you are all set. However, your car is still in Chicago and should be in KC 7th. Once there, it will take us 4-5 days to get the car to Iowa!”

07 Aug 2023: Received text from Tesla “Hello, this is Preston from Tesla. Congrats, your car is in KC and the process to send your car to Iowa has begun! It typically takes 4-5 days to send your car from KC to Iowa. The ability to schedule will become available in 1-2 days. If it is not…”

09 Aug 2023: Received text from Tesla “Hi John, it’s time to schedule your Model Y delivery! To proceed with delivery, schedule now at tesla.com/schedule/RN1195632xx”

09 Aug 2023: We set up delivery date for 15 Aug 2023 (it was later delayed till the 16th).

14 Aug 2023: Received text from Tesla “Hi John, please reply ‘YES’ to confirm your Tesla Model Y delivery for August 15, 2023, at 4:00 PM. Reply to this message if you need assistance.”

15 Aug 2023: Received bill of sale from a local dealership for the 2020 Model Y we were selling. However, their finance department was not available, and they asked us to leave the car there so that their finance department could complete the sale and cut a check the next day. Thus, we sold our beloved 2020 Model Y VIN: 5YJYGDEE8LF0112xx.

16 Aug 2032: We picked up the check from dealership for sale of 2020 Model Y VIN 5YJYGDEE8LF0112xx.

16 Aug 2023: Picked up 2023 Model Y VIN: 7SAYGDEE1PA1543xx.

18 Dec 2023:
Realized FSD no longer installed when on first trip following me from Nebraska to Washington D.C.

I know we tested FSD when we bought it but I realize it must have been in the 30 day free trial period. We were in the middle of selling the house and moving. My wife didn't use FSD very often because everything was so close to home there. I didn't drive her car very often. With the move, we were both otherwise occupied.

Anyway, thanks for at least reading my sob story. I don't know where to turn. The only answer we were given was a verbal one from the SC in Council Bluffs that basically said "FSD transfer can take a few days and since you didn't own the 2020 at the time that FSD was going to be transferred, we can't transfer it. There is nothing to transfer."

If anyone in the community can help, please. I'm trying to get this fixed as civilly as possible. I'm sure it's just a mistake. I'd like to get it fixed at the lowest level possible without screwing up any customer/company relationship.

Thanks, guys.

Mixed feelings about this confirmation. It's like when I got my Vin with no idea when I'd be able to take delivery. Time was already going slow after making the final config / order but when I got the Vin, time ground to a crawl and each day went by so slow ? Now that it's confirmed self driving is coming I'm even more impatient and time has slowed again! ?

Only Tesla can get with charging CT owners a $4k premium for FSD and the software is STILL not available to owners nearly 8-months after launch.
