4 wheel steer driving lessons for parking?

I've been parking slowly since its a big vehicle but the 4 wheel steering is a dream. I thought the update for 10 degree steering already happened? I've only had my truck for 2 weeks though. I'm not sure how much my rear wheels move.

If you turn the cameras on where both blind spot (front fender) images are projected, it gives you a great view of the back wheels. You can see them sticking out when turning, and it really makes a difference. When you test it, do go somewhere safe without curbs where you can be looking behind you and not hit something in front of you!

It's a probably a matter of choosing when to be at full lock and when not to, but I have no special insight here. And I hope someone comes up with something. I'll cheer them on!

Tesla doesn't do birdseye, but FSD does show an overhead image of the car and parking lot lines

Damn shame - birdseye/360 view makes it so easy to park in either direction as well as parallel.

Can someone recommend a video on mastering the four-wheel steering? I am only straight in a parking spot if I take too many attempts. Tried some practicing but I think I need the secret decoder ring so my light bult comes on!

When pull forward parking: rather than swing wide where you watch you don't hit the vehicle on your right, you stay tighter (no swing out) and now have to watch you don't clip a car on either side.

And yes, before anyone asks, they don't let me back the trailer in at camp anymore.

Go into an empty parking lot and back into a space as you would expect to.

Get out and look at the vehicle. If you backed into a space on your right, are you too far to the left of the space?
If so, picture how far off you are and next time, go back that additional amount of distance.

Also remember that how far away you are from the line of cars will make a difference.

So far, my biggest problem is that I don't end up straight in the space. It's a quick pull up and recenter on the way back.

I kinda wish there was a 2 wheel only steering option when parking.

RWS is already at 10 degrees. Update happened around the Jan/Feb 2024 timeframe.

Everywhere I read on the good ol internet said it increased from 3° to 10°. I'm trying to find the official Tesla update notes but can't locate it currently.

I'm somehow the opposite. Especially backing in. I use to never back in and hated it. Now somehow I can back in straight.

I feel the Cybertruck is the easiest vehicle to park despite the size. I don’t even miss the parking assistance. Really amazed by the benefits of steer by wire and rear wheel turns.

I find the guide line in front camera super helpful when pulling into a parking spot head-in.
I use the guide line to check if it’s going to bump into neighboring cars.
I also use the guide lines to determine how much to turn so Cybertruck is parked straight and in the middle of the parking spot after turning.
The guide lines are pretty accurate for both tasks.

I had read we are still limited and haven't been uocked to full 10 degrees.

It's like some newbies getting their boats down the ramp. I'm slowly getting a grip of it as I like to park exactly between the lines. There's no magical way to watch videos and learn rather keep practicing

Well, part of it is conditioning your brain to the patterns, while also resting your brain meats so it can recharge the neurochemicals needed to form new connections.

So while you can't just learn watching videos, if you've done a thing, then watch a video, you can run through what you did doing the things, and then be better at it than if you just practiced twice.

Building new skills and memory patterns is about reinforcing them over a slowing expanding time interval. And regular practice.

(My spouse recovered from a traumatic brain injury so I kinda have this stuff drilled into me.)
