Pure PPF Platinum Wrap & Car Wash Question

Wrap and tint done by Endless Auto Styling in Harrisville, Utah. They did a fantastic job and wrapped all of the edges. For anyone in Northern Utah looking for a reputable wrap or tint, I highly recommend. Ask for Edgar and he will take good care of you. Great guy.

Question for those who have wrapped in PPF and use a soft brush car wash for a while now. Has your PPF wrap held up? Any issues with using an automatic soft brush wash? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I was told by my PPF guy no automatic car washes and to be extremely careful with pressure washers. I have went through an automatic car wash before I had it wrapped but didn’t like the experience. Outside of that it’s been all hand washing by myself with a microfiber wash mit.

Id be curious if any owners have gone through car washes with PPF and how it held up.

I had XPEL go years and went through hundreds of car washes. The scratches go away in the heat. PPF is different than vinyl wrap. Maybe that’s what is being confused.

Please do NOT use automatic car washes. The brushes may be soft but the transfer of dirty and debris from one car to the next is the issue. Hand washes ONLY or washes that do not hit the vehicle with equipment inside a tunnel.
