I live in NY. They would be stolen the first time I walk into a store.

Just an FYI, those are literally rust magnets.
It appears that you are wrapped, so maybe not as bad. Just be careful.

I thought one would get stolen by now but surprisingly not.

One kid yelled out "hey those are frig magnets" and I'm thinking "hey no need advertise it" cause then surely they would get stolen.

Hi. What do you mean by rust and bad? I don't have a wrap on my CT. I want to decorate it with neodymium magnets all over. Do you mean magnets + weather will make the body panels rust? Thanks

The magnets will rust in the weather. Water will get under them and not tend to dry out and just get nasty. At least that's been my experience with similar options.
I'm not quite sure what that would then do to the Stainless Steel, if anything.

Beware. My Cybertruck tailgate sustained damage from a magnetic sign in less than a week. Others have had similar experiences. I've worked around stainless steel my entire life and would have never dreamed it possible, but it can happen.

And it's not just the stainless steel, they can do damage to paint as well. Rust particles are sharp.

And there's also the long term impact of anything covering a vehicle. The sun is very strong and fades colors badly. (look at red signs after a few years). When something is covering your paint, it doesn't get sun and doesn't get faded. It becomes obvious when you take it off.
East to see on old police or panel vans that used to have lettering or something covering them. It's easy to see the old areas.

If you are going to do something like this, at least rotate it periodically to somewhere else.
