I configured mine on 5/29 and I still got NOTHING
And I, 60 days prior to you and I’ve got squat, too.

I wish we had a CB waiting room thread for each month of configuration. Any 2023-config folks still awaiting? How about January 2024? And so on. I’m late March.

Friends, I'm checking out of the Cyberbeast Waiting Room. After 90 days and a bit of misdirection from my wife and the Tesla folks (they made the delivery a surprise by telling me that it would be two weeks from VIN to delivery), my Cyberbeast was delivered. Here are my stats:

Order (Reservation) Date: 12/15/2019
RN #11317XXXX
Configure (Order) Invite Date: 5/10/2024 (LT Investor Program)
Configure (Order) Date: 5/11/2024
VIN Date: 8/9/2024 (90 days)
Delivery Date: 8/10/2024 -- Delivered at Tesla-hosted Cars and Coffee event
Trim: BEAST / FS / White / AT
SC: Norfolk, VA
?⏳?

Common questions:
- No light bar
- No aero covers

Condition on delivery--A few minor imperfections in machining on the stainless steel. The facade that covers the wiper motor was cracked (as was the one in the showroom). Tesla says many cracked when the recall on the wiper motor was performed. New parts and repairs are, of course, under warranty. Rust in wheels. Some rust spots on surface of stainless steel. I accepted all. Not worried about minor aesthetic flaws. I will probably wrap it, anyway, and my son is 3D printing wheel caps to cover the exposed metal. I will steel wool the surface rust from the wheel hubs (very center bare metal).

I almost had a show-stopper. I had my financing ready to go and a plan to do an EFT from my investment brokerage account to Tesla for the down payment. Tesla uses "Plaid" (not related to MS/MX Plaid) as a 3rd party to transfer bank information securely. Plaid did not accept a brokerage account for an EFT. It would accept a checking or savings account. I tried a different brokerage with the same result. I solved my problem by transferring money from among different checking accounts (instant transaction) into a single checking account, which then had enough money for me to make the required EFT. If I weren't able to do this, I would have had to reschedule my delivery to get the money I needed into an account that Plaid would accept. This added some drama and about 20 minutes to the process of making final payment.

If you've read any of my posts along the way, you'll know I had trepidations about the CB. I picked out a beautiful Ultra Red MSP with white interior as a "bail out" plan. After owning the CB for 24 hours, putting 100 miles on it, and doing a few dozen demos, launches, and test drives--I have no regrets. The CT/CB isn't perfect, and we all will have to decide just how much "early adopter" imperfections we can tolerate. I'm a very happy customer, and with hindsight, I am glad I did not give up. The CT/CB technology is amazing.

PM me if you are "losing faith" or are having doubts about the CB. I haven't met with any CT owners in the last 24 hours, but when I do, I suspect a small part of them will wish they opted for the BEAST. It is other-worldly. It's worth the extra $$$ and wait, in my opinion.

FUN FACT--Something I learned: The interior of the CB is a little bit different than the CT. There is more Alcantara on the dash on the BEAST. I really thought the two were exactly the same except for the badge and (of course) the performance.

Brothers and sisters who are waiting--HANG TIGHT! It is WORTH it!

Peace!

VIN is 7G2CEHEE7RA020XXX It's a mystery to me why my VIN appears to be 8000-9000 ahead of yours. Mine is a late-June build.

If it makes people feel better, we configured on 3/9, got a VIN on 7/26 and took delivery on 8/3. Grey Beast.
I’m 99% sure we got someone else’s VIN because they were asking for us to take delivery 2 days after VIN.

we have jobs and live 100 miles away from the closest delivery center so made them wait till a Saturday.

everyone here is close, it’s worth the wait.
