I called my SC today and was told they couldn’t tell me anything until I have a VIN but as soon as I get it they will ‘keep an eye on it.’

They are clueless. I talked to one of them 2 months ago. Only thing that happened is that they took my Edit design button away. So I have to ask them every time to change anything. And they have no idea how to give that option back.

If it makes people feel better, we configured on 3/9, got a VIN on 7/26 and took delivery on 8/3. Grey Beast.
I’m 99% sure we got someone else’s VIN because they were asking for us to take delivery 2 days after VIN.

we have jobs and live 100 miles away from the closest delivery center so made them wait till a Saturday.

everyone here is close, it’s worth the wait.

Yeah, for some people it might be worth changing the financing to “CASH” so they get the edit option. And then changing it back to financing after they’ve made their edits!

This is my first Tesla so I apologize if these are dumb questions but I had previously filled up the license, loan info and no trade in. After filling up the insurance info there’s nothing else I can do now but wait for documents to review and to schedule a delivery date. I went to the Tesla showroom today, to find out where the truck was and the girl told me it’s here at the SC but they can’t release it until the app opens up for me to accept the review documents. She said they have to get the temporary tags and then it should open up.

So my question is: I asked about bringing a cashiers check since I don’t feel comfortable with Plaid and she said they don’t accept payment at the SC. Has everyone who picked up any Tesla in the past only paid via Plaid?

Also what is typically the delivery date after getting the VIN? And do I get a choice of dates (incase I have to wire transfer from Chase to Wells Fargo for Plaid - I have several accounts personal and business on Chase and don’t want Plaid to have access to all of those. I only have 1 account which is checking account on Wells Fargo so if something were to happen it wouldn’t be as big of a deal)

This is my first EV. I believe with the CyberBeast it comes with universal wall charger and PowerShare voucher. Since I don’t have a charger now, I am worried I have to go to a supercharger until the voucher comes. Or should I get a universal charger and installed by an electrician prior to getting my truck delivered. How long do I have to wait for the voucher?

Got my VIN on Wednesday. Original order was Jan 2020, and configuration on May 30 this year (Beast with Tactical Gray). Local service center say the truck is due on the lot tomorrow (Sunday). If it's there early enough, I get it tomorrow. Otherwise, a delivery appt is set for Monday at 3:30pm. It feels like Christmas Eve.
