So I can’t be the only one thinking this…. There is the 48v power point upfront that can be stepped down. Then you swap in the compressor and 3d print a box to house.
I’d probably buy an iceco to get the secop compressor and then use the control panel and the app as well…

The frunk is relatively airtight. A refrigeration system doesn't make "cold", it removes heat. You need a place for that heat to go.

Also, the motor and compressor should go outside the insulated envelope of the cooler, because they generate significant heat. Systems such as this need to be well engineered to operate efficiently.

I have 4 large flat packs that I can freeze in my freezer and that get colder than ice. They work great in a well-insulated cooler for 3 days if not opening the cooler every 15 minutes. Longer than that and I use the hotel's freezer to recharge them overnight. This system makes so much more sense for my usage, I just start with everything well chilled and there is no fuss, no mess, no battery drain to overcome.

Its not airtight at all. The cabin filter is behind the back wall. But i know this opens up a whole can of worms and thats why tesla didn’t power it..
When you pull the hot air out of the fridge you kinda need to pull the hot air outa the frunk.
so duct it straight down and thats solved…
Or perf one side with a fan, and keep a “positive” pressure to force the warm air out. Idk. Throwing out ideas, I definitely dont want it to look homemade

I wouldn't care if it "looked" homemade, as long as it was well engineered.

Yes, the frunk is relatively air-tight as delivered, it is not open to the cabin air filter, you have to remove a tight fitting access panel. For all intents and purposes under discussion here, it's airtight.

The biggest issue with the plan is putting the compressor inside the thermal envelope of the Cybercooler. Big no-no.

As others have said, the radiator would need to be outside of the cooler. That would take away from the $600 premium paid for that thing. For long trips, I usually stop by grocery store, buy a pound or two of dry ice. Put it one the bottom for cold fridge, or on top to freeze everything in the cooler. Can last several days in a good cooler, and then there is no watery mess from ice. Open the drain hole a bit, don’t want it air tight?

Would this exhaust air be of any significance to blowing it over the headlights for clearing purposes?
