I have autopark and so far it is crap. What does “High Fidelity” mean to Tesla? Objects are dark clouds with zero definition. It warns you to stop way before you normally would stop. I really shouldn’t talk about it because I can’t figure out how to initiate it. So much for the user friendly interface.

I love your subjective view, very 'clear'. I hope that you aren't an engineer because 'crap' is not a very objective evaluation. What does 'high fidelity' mean to you? It has certainly changed over the years. What was considered high fidelity sound or television when I was a kid would not even be considered listenable/watchable today. It is a moving target. Maybe Tesla only meant that it is based on input from hi-definition cameras. What we know is that it isn't 'high fidelity' to you, but not what your definition is either.

Tesla's object collision imagery, I believe, is more point cloud based, so it is not intended to be photo realistic. Your comment about it warning you to stop 'way before you would normally stop' is also vague. I agree that the warnings are not accurate, but they are inaccurate erring on the side of safety. I assume that with more data from the fleet that they will hone the warnings to be accurate on the inch level. Don't you? Is everything perfect or crap to you?

I do not understand your comment about the user interface. The park assist is only supposed to show what is around the car that you might drive into, not what it is. Do you need it to be photo realistic or would you just want to avoid hitting it? You can see what it thinks is close on the screen and it has audible warnings too. What could be more user friendly than that? Do you want to have a conversation with it?

Sometime soon hopefully we 'will' have autopark and then you can begin your tirade anew with how crappy that is.

Who knows how Tesla does updates. Sometimes I get updates really early, sometimes I get them really late, and sometimes in the middle. I suspect that, beyond the influencers, they randomly group the rest of us until they do a mass-mass update and catch everyone that is left. I have to say that I have been looking every couple of hours, so I am as anxious as anyone else. I'd like to see them roll it out to everyone all at once, but that might be too much for their servers. I honestly think that a random selection is a decent approach.

The last time I used AutoPark, on my Model Y, it worked really well. We don't have it on the Cybertruck yet. I would actually prefer NoAP and EAP over AutoPark, but my wishes and a few bucks would get a cup of coffee.

You’re not alone. If you don’t drink the kool aid, you’ll be gaslighted. It doesn’t mean you’re wrong. I’ve seen Tesla misapplying terms or naming possible future functions in ways that’s misleading so often I suspect it’s intentional.

I've been using Auto Park on my YP for months, and it works extremely well. I only remember pressing the brake pedal one time to pause the action, and I don't even remember the exact reason why.

I used it twice today. It's slower than I am at parking, but I use it because it works. You can set up for it poorly, or fairly well and it will affect the overall time it takes.

It’s definitely slower than humans, but when you consider how many accidents happen in parking lots maybe slower isn’t such a bad idea :)

What's frustrating.. is ASS uses FSD. It has too.. so.. can we please get FSD at the same time as ASS? TO me, logically that makes sense that it'd come out at the same time. But, we'll see.
ASS isn’t autopark. You will get FSD at or before ASS.

That isn’t auto park. That is park assist.

I thought Cybertruck was the handle of just some dude, didn't realize that was the official. Makes sense Twitter wouldn't let that handle be anything but official. Thought that person was finally able to park on their own, now that they had vision park or something and that they were excited to show it doing what was happening in the video that triggered the comments.

I guess that makes sense.
That's what the little yellow icon means. A type of official account. Tesla accounts have little red icons, to identify employees.

Two questions - curious how you reached out to Tesla to find out what wave you were in. And secondly, when you say your VIN is 4xxx do you mean the last 4 digits of your VIN or something else? I’m curious if there is a pattern, like the “waves” corresponding to a certain digit of your VIN or something.
I build automated phones systems for a living and sometimes when we are A/B testing and need a way to divide callers into groups, we use a digit in their caller ID (ANI) to bucket them, and it had never occured to me until now that Tesla might be doing something similar to pilot changes and identify any issues before going full release.
